Before I got pregnant, I noticed the trend of bandana bibs and loved them. I like how a simple twist was put on something that has been around a long time. It also makes bibs a lot more stylish and look a little less like a “bib” and more like a practical fashion statement that catches drool (kidding – not really, I mean they serve a great purpose while still looking fashionable).
These gorgeous bib designs come from Ollie & Tate. Ollie & Tate is an etsy shop, comprised of a team of two sisters, who have a passion for creating. They watched their dad build their family homes and restore cars alongside their mom. From an early age, their parents instilled in them a desire to use their hands to create.Cait worked as a physical therapist assistant, and Laura had a photography business before the two started their families and began dreaming of starting a business together. After a few years of day dreaming, lots of new babies, and Laura moving to Germany and back, Ollie & Tate was born!
A year ago yesterday, in February 2014, they began selling cloth diapers, baby shoes, and a few other items, but soon discovered that their bandana bibs were selling faster than they could make them. So, for the last several months they have focused on those. All of their bandana bibs are made of organic French terry as the backing (this makes them super absorbent for drolly/teething babies). They also both work out of a smoke-free/pet-free home studio and 100 percent of their fabric scraps are donated to a local crafter who rescues them for various projects. This year was just the beginning for them, and they can’t wait to release some new products this spring/summer. They are so excited for the future and what’s in store for Ollie & Tate! Make sure to follow them via Facebook and Instagram to keep up with new products!
