I was recently invited to take part in a “blog tour” that has been going around. I was invited by Enjoy To The End who posted last Monday. Basically, one person each week is being nominated to keep the tour going and answer the four questions below about your creative process.
1. What am I working on?
I am going to split these up into three categories: home, work and play
Home. Decorating our house. I have been slowly working on decorating our house for the past ten months. This past week I finished the living room and we bought our outdoor furniture. The living room finally has a rug, wall hangings and chair. & our front porch now has rocking chairs paired with a table on our back patio. I can’t wait for the weather to cool down so that we can enjoy sitting on the front porch and rocking.
Work. Blog Designs. I am keeping a steady pace on blog designs lately. If you are in the market for a new blog design, make sure to check out my design site. Kids’ Praise. During the day, I work in Children’s Ministry and we are starting our fall Kids’ Praise program this week. Basically, every Wednesday night for a few months the children rehearse for a musical performance.
Play. A new blog project. I have been on the fence about a project for a while now and still trying to decide which way I am going to go. I am hoping to make a decision soon!
2. How do my creative doings differ from others from its genre?
Hmm… this is an interesting question. I think because I try to use the gifts I have to their fullest. I love creating things and organizing projects. When working for a client, I try to listen to their vision and create something they will love. I look for inspiration in small things like laughter, sunshine and pink.
3. Why do I write/create what I do?
Writing and designing has always been a passion of mine. It is a way for me to express my creativity in unique ways. Plus, i love something that is all mine!
4. How does your writing/creating process work?
I think this is evolving. Most of the time writing and creating comes naturally for me. However, I tend to do most of my writing on Saturdays while Kevin is at work. But, in a dream world, I would get up, have some quiet time over breakfast, read my bloglovin feed, then spend the morning designing and the afternoon writing. I tend to be most creative design wise in the morning and “word” wise in the afternoon.
