In my post a few weeks ago, “To The Woman With Anxiety“, I mentioned that when I become anxious, I repeat a verse I have memorized out loud. I fully believe in the importance of scripture memory for purposes like these. It can be so powerful for your everyday life. Below are a few verses I have memorized and use throughout my days in prayer and in different situations for calmness, joy and peace. My prayer is that you would memorize these 10 life verses or find 10 that really resonate with you and commit them to memory.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus – Philippians 4:6-7

But he said to me,“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. – 2 Corinthians 12:9
Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. – Joshua 1:9
I can do all things through him who strengthens me. – Philippians 4:13
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. – John 3:16
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. – Matthew 28:19-20

While I’m no longer ‘overly religious’ I grew up that way and find myself comforted best by scripture. I really appreciate all that you’ve shared- they resonated to me deeply! I’ll be saving these for sure…I know that I will need them forever and always! So many I love, but, the 2 Corinthians one is on my heart tonight!!!
