In my 7 Ways To Keep Christ in Christmas post last week, I talked about the importance of reading the story of the birth of Jesus with your children and by yourself leading up to Christmas. You can also teach your kids these 7 simple verses to remind them of the importance of Christmas. If they are really young, they might be able to just memorize the short ones, but even reading these to them is great too! You can also turn these verses into a nightly prayer at bedtime by praying “Thank you God that you sent your Son to seek and to save the lost. Amen”. Even a simple prayer like this will instill these verses in your child’s mind and heart.
