It is Him and Her week on the blog this week! I’m kidding. Yesterday’s post did happen to be about His & Hers Stocking Stuffers and today is December 2016 Stitch Fix day, but there aren’t anymore duo posts for the week. Lets get to business, Kevin was finally ready to try out Stitch Fix Men for the first time, and I thought it would be fun for us both to get a Stitch Fix box on the same day. Cheesy, I know, but so fun! I absolutely LOVE Stitch Fix and I told myself no more boxes until after the baby, because my bump is so big, but I couldn’t resist this opportunity. I mean, how cute are both of our boxes on the doorstep?! I will pause for a paragraph and explain Stitch Fix for any newbies.
Stitch Fix delivers a personalized shopping experience to your front door. To sign up, you go to the Stitch Fix website, fill out a style profile and then decide on a delivery date. You then pay a $20 styling fee, which will be applied as credit toward anything you keep from your shipment. Stitch Fix will send you 5 items of clothing, shoes, or accessories (you can specify what you are wanting and the price range). Once you receive your shipment, you can try everything on in the comfort of your home, decide what you are going to keep and mail the rest back in a pre-paid envelope. It is super easy and a fun way to shop!
Here we go, check out what was in my 20th box and Kevin’s 1st box! Let us know what you think we should keep.
Her Fix
I asked my stylist for mainly cardigans and possibly vests due to my growing baby belly and she did not disappoint! I seriously loved every single item in my fix. There was a black and white classic theme to my box and its almost as if she saw right into my mind. It fit my current style so much!
Violah Striped Cardigan
This cardigan is so classic. It is soft, lightweight and long. It is perfect for running errands around town or just hanging out at home. I love how sleek the stripes look and the fit was awesome.
Vivianna Open Draped Knit Cardigan
This cardigan was hands down my favorite. It is light, flowy and really flattering. I feel like the drape cut of the front is super slimming and eye catching. I also loved the print of this cardigan. It is different from a lot of prints I have but still really classic at the same time. I tore the tag off of this one already, so it is a keeper for sure.
Bailey Open Cardigan
Again, another goodie! This cardigan is heavy and super warm. I love how soft it is and the heavy material. I really don’t have a “chunky” cardigan so I was drawn to this one as a close second favorite. I feel like it makes you look a little bigger since it is so thick, but gosh, it is comfy you just don’t care.
Wilco Solid Quilted Vest
This vest does not disappoint. It fits great and is lightweight. I love that is all black and so sleek. It looks a lot like the jcrew style vests and is a staple item.
Wels Puffer Vest
This vest is slightly thicker, hense the word “puffer” in the title. I still really liked the crisp white look and it was a little more “sporty” than the other vest.
His Fix
We asked Kevin’s stylist for a wide variety of shirt and jean options. We also requested shoes, but I’m assuming they didn’t have his size in stock this time. His stylist sent a great variety of different types of shirts and the style of jeans were perfection! Overall, a great first fix!
The Justin Plaid Flannel Shirt
This was the first item in the fix and it was underwhelming for us. Kevin and I both don’t wear flannel so it was an immediate no. However, the shirt did fit well and the print was okay. If it was a different material, it might have been considered.
James Feeder Stripe Henley
Immediately Kevin was drawn to this shirt because it is very much his style. He tends to like blue and grey colors the most and this henley was a great option. The fabric was soft and the stripe was subtle. The only downside was that it was too small. He considered getting it in a bigger size, but opted to think about it.
Essential Wash Long Sleeve Shirt
This was our second least favorite…haha. It was too small as well and Kevin doesn’t wear white button downs except to work. This one had a stripe to it that you can’t see in the picture. It was just okay.
Zach Straight Leg Jean
Hands down our favorite item!!! These jeans were so awesome. The fit was perfect for Kevin and the quality was really good. Kevin doesn’t typically wear denim that is that dark, but these looked so good on. Lets just say, he got a lot compliments from me while trying them on. I would buy these for him in all different washes… they fit soooo good.
Fairway Prep Performance Polo
On first glance, we thought this was a typical polo, but ended up loving it and keeping it. The color is different what Kevin would normally pick out, so we liked the variety. Plus, the shirt fit so well. Kevin is tall and slim, and this polo really fit his build nicely. Winner.
Overall, a fantastic Stitch Fix experience as always. I was so excited that Kevin loved his first fix. I can’t wait to see what is in his next box! I will probably not order again until after the baby comes, but you know I will be back. Don’t forget, you can grab a Stitch Fix Gift Card for anyone in your life for Christmas! Its a great gift for your hubby or parents!!
