This post is sponsored by Zappos; however, all opinions are my own.
I don’t know about you, but our calendar keeps filling up more and more the closer we get to summer. This will be our first year on a teachers schedule, and we cannot wait for time off as a family. We have lots of pool plans, road trips, weekends at the lake, baseball games and other fun activities planned all while building our house! We honestly cannot wait for all of the fun, and with the fun, comes us being constantly on the go. I am gearing up our supplies so that we are prepared for summer fun. Here are a few of my on-the-go summer essentials:
Water
The first essential I always grab on any occasion is a bottle of water. Staying hydrated is so important to your health, especially in warm summer months. There is something about an ice cold water that is just so refreshing. I also like to keep extra water on hand for emergences.
Comfy Shoes
I am constantly chasing after my littles, so I need comfortable, stylish shoes. I am really liking these Naot Sandals from Zappos this summer. Zappos has fast, free shipping, a 365-day return policy and not to mention, awesome customer service. With our busy lifestyle, I order online a lot and I use companies like Zappos that I can rely on to get quality products to my door – fast! I recently found out about the brand Naot and they have been so great! They have a unique style, are handcrafted and have carefully engineered insoles. They are such a high-quality shoe, the sandals keep me cool for summer and they are extremely comfortable. You are most beautiful when you’re comfortable, so its a win!
Sunscreen
While I enjoy a good tan, as I have become a mom, I am very conscience about my skin and my family’s skin. In the summer months, I like to keep sunscreen with us at all times just in case. You never know if you will need it on a trip to the park or at the lake. Better safe than sorry!
Bubbles
Yes, bubbles. Bubbles made my list of summer on the go essentials, because my kids love bubbles. They are so entertaining and an easy activity. If you are on a road trip, they are a great little activity to break up the drive. You can even take them to the park, or use them while your waiting outside for a table at dinner. The possibilities are endless and tears are minimal with bubbles in your mom bag.
Shorts
Lots and lots of shorts for the whole family. Really, just cool summer clothes (and shoes!) It is always extremely hot here in Texas so this is a MUST! I like to have a wide variety or different colors and styles from dressy to casual.
Sunglasses
Again, the sun is shining and your eyes need protection. I like to invest in a good pair of sunglasses and a “fun, cheaper” pair of sunglasses for active activities. I have them in both our vehicles and my handbag so that they are easy to grab. I also make sure my family has theirs in my bag as well!
Big Bag
Last but not least, I need a big bag to put all of this stuff in – a pool bag if you will or “summer” bag. I tend to keep a lot of these items in my car for our on the go lifestyle and it serves us well. Not mentioned – snacks… yes this bag has lots of snacks.
I like to keep everyone comfortable from their belly down to their feet. Don’t forget to grab you family comfortable, stylish shoes from Zappos for the summer and grab yourself a pair of Naot sandals! They have such cute, fashionable styles!
