If you have been following along this year, you probably already know that my word of the year is “simplify,” which is quite fitting here on Simply Clarke. I’m really trying to simplify every aspect of our life as a family. We want to enjoy the simple moments more and embrace the joy in life. That being said, I know there a lot of game day parties going on right now with great football and basketball being played. With game day parties come different hosting tasks and responsibilities. This can be extremely overwhelming if you don’t normally host parties at your house. So, here are 5 Tips for Hosting A Stress-Free Party:
Simplify Your Menu
Think ready-to-serve items that have quick and easy preparation, so you can spend more time with your guests! The NEW Hillshire® Snacking Social Platters are the perfect appetizer for all of your get-togethers this year. They are chef curated spreads made with unique flavor combinations and premium, quality ingredients. Plus, the flip-and-serve tray makes for an even simpler clean up! You can get these in the refrigerated/deli section at Target near the party platters. I grabbed one of each – Genoa Salame & Prosciutto and Genoa Salame & Calabrese Salame. They were both incredibly popular! I cannot stress to you how great the quality of these are in terms of the offerings. They pair so great together and taste amazing!
Simplify Cleaning
If you are anything like me, you want your house to be pretty clean before you have guests over. Presenting a truly clean house to your guests can be quite a daunting task. I have found that if you clean a little bit each night during the week before your event, that you can have the whole weekend to focus on other things, and not be rushed to get the whole house ready in one day.
Simplify Your Guest List
Now, I don’t mean this in a “mean” way, but sometimes entertaining mass amounts of people is overwhelming. If you have 40 people over, you don’t get as much quality time with your guests. People are packed in, things get messy, and you are constantly “hosting” everyone instead of enjoying time with them. Decide on your guest list and invite them early. Waiting until the last minute might present a lot more stress for you because then it affects how much food you need, etc.
Simplify Decor
I love being festive, so this hack is hard for me because I tend to want more decor. However, I have found that using simple yet festive decor always does the trick. It can be easy to go overboard, and this is where it can get stressful. Your decor doesn’t have to be elaborate or involve inflated balloons. I like to keep it simple with football themed trays and platters on hand for watch parties. I also always have a stash of paper party plates and napkins. By adding a few pieces of festive decor, your table is elevated with minimal effort.
Simplify Your Activity
Are you hosting a watch party? Record the game so you don’t miss anything. Hosting a birthday party? Make sure you have a clear line of events planned with fun yet simple activities. Hosting a housewarming party? Give a few group tours and leave room mingling. No matter the hosting occasion, try to think simple.
At the end of the day, you want to enjoy the time you spend with your friends and family. Keep it simple and delicious with Hillshire Snacking Social Platters from Target!
