The BIG GAME is almost here! You might come for the food, or maybe you are a commercial person, or maybe you are die hard fan out there so excited that your team is in the game- either way we are gearing up for some great Sunday football. If you are reading this, you are likely hosting a watch party of your own and wondering what could I be forgetting? Did I get everything I need? With hosting, comes different tasks and responsibilities that can be extremely overwhelming if you don’t typically host watch parties at your house. In the spirit of Sunday, I thought I would share 5 last minute hosting tips for super bowl Sunday.
Check Your Details
There are so many details to think about when hosting, so be sure to check your details. I’m a big list person, so I always like to refer to my list to double check final details. This could involve things like following up with your guests for any last minute RSVPS or reminders. You might also want to ensure you have everything you need for any recipes or food you plan on serving. You also want to make sure you are stocked up on essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, plates, and…
Stock Up on Febreze
You have the food, you have the drinks, but you may be forgetting to prepare for the inevitable odors that go along with most Super Bowl parties. With all the pizza, nachos and drinks that are going to be served up, you CAN’T forget the odor-eliminating MVP of any party, Febreze. Febreze’s YouTube has a funny video – starring Terrell Owens – that shows the odor madness that can ensue at your party WITHOUT Febreze and it serves as a great reminder for everyone to include it on their Super Bowl party prep lists. Whether you are preparing before your party, in need of some serious odor elimination during the party, or want to remove any lingering odors and get your home back to smelling fresh and clean after the party- Febreze has got you covered. Febreze AIR with OdorClear Technology is their toughest formula to date. It contains a complex of 3 different types of odor cleaning technologies plus long-lasting scents to tackle any party!
Clean Your Space
It is time to do a little last minute cleaning and picking up. I typically like to spread out my cleaning over the week, little by little so that it isn’t a huge task the day before, however, that doesn’t always happen. Do what you can to clean your space and make your home welcoming for your guests. Also, be sure you have plenty of seating around or move in some chairs from other parts of the house.
Record the game
Don’t be those people. Just hit record. And, while you are at it, record the show after the game. You never know when you will be watching an epic game that you need to record. A few months ago, we were at an amazing game in person and thankfully – we hit record before we left home. The unexpected and excitement of sports is one of my favorite things. On any given day, you have no idea how amazing a game can be! Make sure you are able to rewind and go back when necessary during the game. Also, this will allow you to wait until most of your guests arrive to start the game if you want. Trust me, just hit record.
Relax and Have Fun!
You have planned away and checked your list for last minute things. It is time to kick back and relax before kick off! Enjoy hanging out with friends and family. Watch parties should be fun and stress free! Keep it simple and have fun.
There’s no better time to throw a party than during the Super Bowl – but you know what can cause an offensive foul on a party? Odors. There’s nothing that can sideline a good time like the smells from your beloved Super Bowl foods and their after-effects. So, don’t forget the odor-eliminating MVP of any party – Get yourself some Febreze. It will save you – and your home – from all of those offensive odors, pregame, postgame and all the time in between.
