&then…. I had a crazy week.
I am tempted to say awful, but in reality I don’t even know what I feel.
I think I am too over bad things happening
without getting into enormous detail here goes nothing:
(& no our room isn’t just a mess – we are clean freaks – it’s not even messy when we move)
I don’t understand why…
people you love have to suffer
you have to get older
life has to change so much
cancer exists
people broke into our house last monday
they felt the need to demolish our front door
they felt compelled to trash our bedroom
they felt compelled to trash our bedroom
they deemed it necessary to take so many things
they would need my glasses (i legit need to see at night)
one act of deliquence makes you feel so unsafe in life
cops can be so unhelpful (aka they have licence plate/address of robbers.. but can’t do anything)
insurance makes you jump through hoops
my car decided not to start as well (ok i’m being drama on this one – it was just my battery but still)
work is so complicated and drama filled right now
God is so graceful when we litearlly do all of this to him everyday x1000
in the midst of chaos I have felt pretty calm and peaceful this week
a love so deep makes everything better
a simple touch from my husband helps me sleep
sweet laughter with friends heals your soul
I don’t understand.
But for real, our house got broken into last Monday, so that is why I have been slightly MIA on here and social media. I am blogging/answering emails/designing as much as possible via my ipad and friends computers until I can go buy a new laptop to replace the one they stole (along with a ton of other stuff….sigh). The good news is that Kevin and I are fine and our house is okay – we are just dealing with the aftermath of everything that has to be taken care of in order to get our house back in order.
(special thanks to the samantha life for inspiring my title and way to get all my thoughts out)

This is unreal! Something you’d never think would happen to you. The important thing is that you and Kevin are both safe; material things can be replaced. Good luck getting things back in order!

I am so sorry and feeling for you during this difficult week. Last year, my boyfriend and I were broken into while we were upstairs sleeping in the middle of the night. Thankfully, we weren’t hurt, but it is still unsettling knowing someone was in your home, touching your things, taking what they want. I hope you get through this time with ease and comfort! xx

So sorry that this happened to you. I’ve never experienced myself but it must have been terrifying and I completely understand the part about not feeling safe in your home. So glad that no one was hurt – yes the materials possessions took were stolen are loss but a small price to pay for everyone’s safety. I’m sure over time you will be able to replace and put the ugliness behind you. Best of luck..

Wow. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to have my life violated in such a major way. Glad to hear that you are dealing well in light of it. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t sleep for months.

Marquis Clarke

Marquis Clarke
Oh no! This is horrible. Praying for you and Kevin to get everything figured out as painlessly as possible!
Marquis Clarke
OH NO! I am so sorry!! There is nothing more violating than having your home ransacked!! Thinking of you while you piece things together!
Marquis Clarke
Oh gosh! that is so sad! I hope they get justice!
Marquis Clarke
So sorry this happened Marquis! I don’t understand why people can be so scummy sometimes. Thank goodness we serve a sovereign LORD who never leaves us.

Sorry sorry friend – had a pretty crappy week last week too so I’m right there with you! Praying for you and Kevin and for continued peace a midst the circumstances.

Our house was burglarized two years ago — I know how you feel. It’s a roller coaster of emotions — scared and angry, and back again. I pray you find peace in all the mess.
Marquis Clarke
I’m so sorry that it happened! I’m glad that you and Kevin are alright, but still completely understand.
Marquis Clarke
Ohh, girl! I am SO sorry!!!
Marquis Clarke
I’m so sorry to hear that you were victim to such a awful crime. I can imagine it has to be very unsettling but it’s good to know that you weren’t hurt. Prayers headed your way.

I am SO sorry that happened 🙁 I can’t even imagine…I would
feel so violated and scared and mad! And to know that the cops know who they
are but aren’t doing anything?! I would be so upset. Praying for you guys and
hoping that insurance will cover everything!
Marquis Clarke
Oh, wow. I’m SO sorry that happened to you. I couldn’t imagine, and I know it must be such a hassle to to try and get everything back in order. I’m sending positive thoughts and prayers your way this week.
Marquis Clarke
I am so sorry! I hope the police can end up doing something about it soon! I will be praying for you guys!

Oh, that’s the worst! My apartment once got broken into twice within 4 months! (Second time they stole the new laptop that I’d JUST bought to replace the first.) Sorry this happened to you!
Marquis Clarke
I’m sorry that happened to you! That really can mess with your peace of mind. We had someone break into the apartment downstairs – the girl who lived downstairs went on one date with this guy, and he freaked out and came over and broke in. The dog was going nuts, and it was a big mess. I haven’t really slept well since and that was like 2 weeks ago! Please please protect yourselves and move if you need to. Peace of mind is a really powerful thing!
