Kevin and I have been watching Christmas movies all week and I just love it! I may have fallen asleep early a few nights, but only because it was so peaceful just laying down with him, watching great movies. I have to admit, I really don’t like Christmas music. But I do like a lot of Christmas movies, check out my perfect lineup. What are your favorites?
A Princess For Christmas. I think this one is my favorite this year. It is a “chick flick” for sure and very cliche in terms of girl becomes princess, but I just adore it. It has twists and turns and is just cute to watch. I love the whole story line and it helps that it’s a good love story.
Four Christmases. “I’m gonna stop you right there. Because on paper you’ve done everything right. You’ve took an interest in my personal history. You’ve complemented my accessories. Blah, blah, blah. If we’d met in college, our relationship, probably would’ve developed between us. Which I would have come to regret because I would have found out…that you’re just as boring and polite in the bedroom…as you have been during this, god awful conversation.” I am thinking Vince Vaughn is my favorite, I just love his humor and Reece Witherspoon is one of my favorite female actors, so this one is way up there on my list!
The Family Stone. I know that this is not a “traditional” Christmas Movie, but its based around Christmas time. The Family Stone is so cute and it has one of my other favorite actresses, Rachel McAdams. I just love how this movie portrays family – they all have struggles and issues but love each other unconditionally.
Home Alone 1 & 2. I lumped both of these together. I always go back and forth on which one is my favorite of the two. I think this year, I enjoyed Home Alone 2 better. I just love the beginning when they ruin the Christmas pageant. These movies are always good for a laugh and make you feel like a kid again.
The Santa Clause. Scott becomes Santa; he experiences everything and still has trouble believing. When he starts getting a big belly and beard like Santa, he tries so hard to fight it. Then, I love it when he embraces himself as Santa despite what anyone else thinks 🙂 & becomes a better father in the process.
Miracle on 34th Street. This is such a sweet classic movie. I know most people like the original version better, but what can i say, I like Matilda. The end of the movie is my favorite where all her requests to Santa come true – family, house, brother.
How The Grinch Stole Christmas. I like both versions of this movie and just love the quote “Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more!”

I LOVE the Santa Clause. I grew up watching it every year, so I think that’s why it’s special to me! I hadn’t heard of “A Princess for Christmas” yet!
