Plus One

Most of you probably know through my blog post on Friday or Instagram, but our family grew by one this weekend, because my cousin Kayla got married! Her and her husband Kevin are so adorable and it was such a fun wedding. I have been in New Mexico since Tuesday for all the wedding festivities and some family time, so I figured I would post a little recap of my trip today. I am really still exhausted, but had a great time with family.

I flew in late on Tuesday, so I pretty much went straight to bed. On Wednesday, I spent the day with my mom, my aunt Cath, my cousin Kate and Kate’s new adorable baby boy. We had lunch with a few of my other aunts and then shopped the rest of the day. It was pretty much amazing and we topped it off with a family dinner at my aunt’s house.

Thursday morning was an early morning as well, because we had a breakfast at Los Poblanos Ranch with my cousin Kayla for some pre-wedding fun to kick off rehearsal day. The night consisted of rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The food at dinner was so good and they had the cutest slideshow of pictures from their childhoods until now.

After dinner, my mom, aunt and I picked Kevin up from the airport (he had to work so he flew out later than me). I was super glad when his plane landed, loved having him there for the fun wedding day.

Finally, Friday… Wedding day!!! Let’s just say it was an early morning filled with breakfast, lots of laughter, hair and make up. There may have been a little Spice Girls action going on as well. Around noon, we headed over to the hotel for more hair and make before pictures. Really, the rest of the day flew by so fast. Lots of smiling and laughing – then they were married & we started the party!

The reception was filled with dancing and yummy tacos. I defiantly ate way too much food while I was in New Mexico. Overall, I feel so incredible blessed that Kev and I were able to be apart of their big day! I love my family so much and enjoyed every minute spent in beautiful New Mexico surrounded by the beautiful mountains.
