The name of my blog came about when I got fed up with my own negative attitude about life! I decided I wasn’t going to let less-than-ideal circumstances keep life from being amazing. God plants us right where we’re supposed to be, but it’s up to us to decide to bloom there.
Fast forward to here and now – 2015 already, can you believe it?! This year, my key word is “purposeful”. After almost a year of growing a little person, I’m coming into the new normal for my life as a momma. (It is definitely a journey!) I also want to grow as a follower of God, wife, daughter, sister, and friend.
Growth for me in these areas usually happens with discipline and doing things with intention, which means scheduling (something I’m horrible at!), strengthening my prayer life and Bible study, making plans, and building relationships. That’s my plan, and I’m excited to see what happens this year as a result!
So what will you make of 2015? What adventures will you have? What new things will you try? What old things will you try again?
Here are some suggestions if you’re stumped:
Travel more. (If you’re pregnant, read these tips too!)
Consider trying clean living and getting rid of harsh chemicals in your food and personal products.
Go on great dates with your significant other, or plan fun times with friends. (More ideas here!)
Plan a soiree under the stars.
Having a baby this year? Create your registry like a pro!

I love that line “God plants us right where we need to be, but it’s up to us to bloom there.” Love that! Just really speaks to me right now, we relocated for my husbands job about 2 years ago, and I still find myself struggling with it and becoming homesick and discouraged. And I’m so aware of how pointless those thoughts are, but I still find myself sucked back into that negative spot whenever something doesn’t go well. I know I am where God wants be to be and my goal for 2015 is to really stop trying to have the control and put my life and future in God’s hands, and to bloom! Thank you for your post, it’s lovely. I will be checking out your blog. Thanks, Anna
