Drink More Water
It is crazy how much drinking the right amount of water a day can help you. Water makes up about two-thirds of the weight of a healthy persons’ body and most of the chemical reactions that happen in our cells need water in order to take place. Not to mention, our body loses water through breathing, sweating, and digestion, it’s important to rehydrate by drinking fluids and eating foods that contain water. You many not know this, but water is also essential for the proper circulation of nutrients in the body. Health authorities recommend drinking 8, 8 once glasses of water a day or about 1/2 a gallon.
Eat Healthy
I feel like I was super busy before I had Brooke, but now, my mornings are even busier. I have to get Brooke all packed up for her day at school and myself. Often times, I found myself forgetting my lunch or running out of time to make something for myself. However, I have started finding options like Lean Cuisine that make lunch easy, yet healthy. I just pick up a few while I am at Target getting Brooke’s food for the week as well. Target has a great focus on health and wellness and Lean Cuisine really aligns with their vision. My favorite meals are LEAN CUISINE® MARKETPLACE Vermont White Cheddar Mac & Cheese, LEAN CUISINE® Ricotta Cheese & Spinach Ravioli, and LEAN CUISINE® Spicy Beef & Bean Enchilada. Lean Cuisine has organic ingredient options, gluten-free options and protein packed options. Get yours at Target for $2 each, and there is a $1 off 5 coupon right now as well!
Get More Sleep
This one can be very hard to make time for in your day. I know for me, I like to get at least 6-8 hours of sleep, however, with a 9 month old, that is not always reality. Ideally, I function the best with 8 hours of sleep. Find out how much sleep your body needs to function the bests and work on getting that much sleep at least every other night. In a perfect world, you could get that much sleep every night, but that is not always the case.
Be Intentionally Active
Sit in an office all day? Try to stand up and work for at least 15 minutes every other hour. You can also take a walk on your lunch break or walk up and down the stairs if your office has stairs. Another way you could be more active is to join a gym, take evening walks, or do workouts at home. There a ton of ways to be intentionally more active throughout your day, you just have to choose to do them.
What are some things you do besides eating healthy to stay healthy?

These are Great! I love lean cuisine..I have them for lunch 🙂
I wake up in the morning and do yoga and then at night I take my dog for a walk and then do a home workout. Not much because I really don’t like working out…but I have to push myself to stay as healthy as I can.

A lot of teacher friends I know bring lean cuisine to work for lunch. It saves so much time when you’re getting ready in the morning! Since the beginning of the year, I’ve been taking a walk on my lunch break at least twice a week. It’s not much, but it’s more than I was doing before 😉
