Dear Mom Covered in Cheerios™,
As my second Mother’s day approaches, I have been reflecting on this past year and everything I learned. Its crazy how fast the worry sets in and how quickly google searches become your go-to at all hours of the night. I have learned to not freak out over fevers, or coughs. I have learned that my house is going to be a constant mess of toys and snacks on the floor. I have learned that finding Cheerios™ in all parts of your house, outfit and car are acceptable. I have learned an entire new level of joy and happiness. And, I have learned and seen a glimpse of how much my mom has done for me.
I think you gain a certain perspective of how much your parents have done for you when you leave home. When I moved away for college, I feel like my relationship with my parents changed to a deeper friendship and respect level. I instantly realized how much they did for me in terms of cooking, cleaning, driving me everywhere and taking care of me. Then, when I graduated and got married, I realized how much my parents did to provide for me.
Now, as I am in the stages of motherhood, I am realizing a whole different level of love and sacrifice. A parents love is truly massive and unconditional. I have said over and over here on Simply Clarke that you can’t fathom the immense joy. I really want to stop and celebrate all the moms in my life this year. Cheerios™ are significant to me right now, because I am clean freak. I like a clean house, I like a clean car, I like everything in its place. However, I love motherhood more, I love the little reminders of Cheerios™ everywhere. And right now, you can share a box of them with someone who holds a special place in your heart.
All you have to do is purchase a specially marked box of Cheerios™ at Walmart, enter their code and fill out an E-card online for a special someone to open. It will send them a coupon for a free box of Cheerios™ at a local Walmart. I will be sending one to my mom’s first, then probably my sister-in-law and mom friends. Because, we buy them a lot!
They also make fantastic treats to give out to all your mom friends or co-workers, check out my Cheerios™ Puppy Chow recipe below. You can easily make a big batch of this and package it cute with a fun tag! Who has made an impact in your life that you would you give your box of Cheerios™ to? Think family, friends, teachers, coworkers…

It’s amazing what becoming a parent teaches you about what your own parents have done, and continue to do, to help you grow. I’ll be on the lookout for the Cheerios™ box with this program included so I can share a box with my own parents! #client
