Last year, Kevin had to work on the 4th of July, so we celebrated at home, but he was off this year. So, we got to go home to our parents house for the 4th of July weekend and we had so much fun! It is a four hour drive to our parents house and so far, Brooke has done great every time, however, this trip was slightly rough. She was really fussy the majority of the way and Kevin wasn’t feeling the greatest. We decided it was time to invest in Frozen digitally, so we can have it on an iPad for emergencies (lol). We also discovered that Brooke is getting two more molars, so that might have to do with her fussiness as well.
Once we got in town, everything was great. We had fun relaxing with my parents on Sunday morning, then we went to lunch with Kevin’s parents and his sister/her family and then all of us hung out at Kevin’s parents lake house that night. We went for an evening boat ride and Brooke wasn’t impressed with her lifejacket this year. In fact, she hated it. Brooke also got to have fun in her kiddie pool at both grandparents houses. She and her cousins had a blast playing together in the water. I am so incredibly thankful that we got to spend that time with our family this year. I am already looking forward to seeing everyone again this weekend and then my parents are coming in town after that! We are going to be really spoiled this month and next getting to see family so much!

It looks like y’all had a great weekend! Brooke is just so cute!!! We have a baby pool for the dogs but I’m thinking we’ll have to get Rory her own pool next summer.

Looks like a great time! Those pictures with Brooke looking out the window are so cute! I also like the one of her cousin holding 2 little ones.
