Brooke officially turned 1 ½ this month and I cannot believe we are already 6 months away from her turning two. Time really does get away from you and move incredibly fast. I feel like it was just a few weeks ago that we celebrated her first birthday. Although, looking back, I can see how much she has changed in just 6 short months. She is constantly learning, growing, and exploring new things. As a new mom, I had no idea what types of toys she would like or need and as I have gotten more experienced (& seen what types of toys Brooke likes to play with), I feel like I can really pick out good ones now.
Also, we recently took a trip to buybuy BABY and let her pick out a few of her own toys as well. She loved it. She kept looking at all the toys in wonder and wanted to play with just about everything. She was drawn to a few items the most, but it was just so incredibly fun to watch her in the store. She kept pointing and saying “mama”, “mama”, “mama”. Needless to say, she LOVES buybuy BABY.
Here are Brooke’s Top One Year Old Toys:
This was one of the toys she picked out herself. She really loves reading books and she loves that this one sings to her too!
She loves loves loves playing with blocks. I find these things all over the house.
Again, she loves reading, adores frozen and it makes noise… triple threat.
Simple, easy, yet entertaining for hours.
This is a go to for in the car or at a restaurant. It is easy to pack in the diaper bag and take on the go.
She loves saying “hello” into the phone like mommy.
Again, she had to have a laptop like mommy. She likes to get hers out when I am on mine and type away.
Brooke loved getting a learning table for her first birthday and has played with it a lot. Now, she even thinks its cool to climb on top of… just saying.
I can’t wait to see what new stages bring. I love the joy and excitement in Brooke’s eyes when she is playing and learning. What are some of your child’s favorite toys?

I’m really starting to dive into your blog and loving it! I was curious if you would share which photo editing program you use. I’m trying to work on creating a picture like the first one on your post, I really like this layout, white background cropped images and a great pic to have viewers Pin. Thanks!
