Christmas is such a fun time of the year. Brooke is starting to really grasp the idea of Holidays and celebrating them. We have been talking up Christmas BIG this year and teaching her all about Baby Jesus, Santa, Christmas Trees, Lights and Stockings (not to mention reindeer!). It so fun watching her get excited. Brother bear just gets excited when Brooke is excited, but I know he is going to love Christmas morning too. Before kids, I was quite lost in the toy aisle in terms of what was age appropriate, not now! buybuy BABY is my go to for all things baby and I got a lot of good toys for Brooke, Baby Kevin, and our nephews this year. They have such a great selection of learning toys, interactive toys and pretend play toys! I wanted to break my baby gift guide down by age to help out all you aunts, uncles and friends out there wondering what to get the baby in your life! I hope this helps you find the perfect gift!
0 – 6 Months
WubbaNub – This is one of the most used items around our house and honestly, you can’t have too many. We have three in our house and I can’t tell you how many times we have searched the whole house looking for one of them.
Playmat – This is great for tummy time and letting your baby play on the floor with toys.
Blanket – Its nice to have a really good set of thin blankets and a big thicker blanket. We love this blanket for laying on the floor to play and it transitions to a great blanket for winter as your baby gets older.
Plush Carseat Toy – Brooke did not have one of these but Baby Kevin has three and LOVES them. He plays with them all the time still and they are easy to hook on the stroller or carseat.
Clothes – When in doubt, extra clothes are always a good baby gift too. Babies go through a ton of clothes with drool and spit up so its always nice to have more.
6 – 12 Months
Table Toy – Okay, so honestly Baby Kevin is getting this for Christmas. I saw someone else with this at a restaurant and it looks awesome. It kept their baby entertained so well! I can’t wait to add it to our toy collection.
Soft Books – We have a lot of soft books and they are so great for the heavy teething phase. We let Brooke have her board books too early so a lot of them have chew marks. Bring on the soft books.
Interactive Toy – Brooke had the Vtech Cube so I am interested in getting Baby Kevin this Vtech Ball. The cube was such a great toy, so i’m sure this ball is too.
Activity Center – Hands down a great item for everyday use. We use this multiple times a day and for big chunks of the day. Plus, it is all plastic that easily pops off for washing!
Fisher-Price Stack – This is an original classic toy but, oh so good. This was and is one of Brooke’s most played with toys. She still loves to stack them!
12 – 18 Months
Learning Table – This is great for when your baby learns how to stand up. It really encourages them to start walking around the sides and gives them a great play space.
Sit To Stand Walker – This is also great for learning how to walk and once they start walking. Brooke use to push this around and around our living room.
Board Book – Now you can bring on the board books with the chance of less teeth marks.
Riding Toy – While Brooke had a rocking “lamb”, this is a great rid on option for around the house. Anything that gets them moving!
18 – 24 Months
Blocks – Okay, now these are awesome and horrible all at the same time. Brooke still loves playing with hers all the time and building castles. The downside, they make a huge mess in your living room. Its a good thing playtime is more important than messes!
Pretend Play – While Brooke has a play kitchen, I like this play grill for a boy option and I have seen cute work benches too! They keep kids entertained for hours.
Baseball – Since having a boy now, I can’t wait until he is a good age to get this!
Swing – Another fantastic investment! My parents have this at their house outside and the kids use it all the time!
I hope this list helps you find the perfect gift! If you are still feeling lost about what to buy the little one in your life, head to buybuy BABY and just talk to one of their knowledgable staff. One of my favorite things about buybuy BABY is that they have an amazing staff that is so friendly and very knowledgeable about the best and latest products on the market. It makes shopping a breeze and super fun! I mean look at how much Baby Kevin loved our recent shopping trip!

That skip hop play table is the BEST, we bought it for Mads two months ago and she loves it. So does mama. Whenever I cook or shower I just take that with me and she’s occupied for a good hour, I love it so much! Best purchase.
