There will be lot of game day parties going on this month and great football being played. I consider myself a sports wife, because we constantly have sports on our tv and along with that, love hosting game day. With hosting, comes different tasks and responsibilities that can be extremely overwhelming if you don’t typically host watch parties at your house. In the spirit of some great football games coming up, I thought I would share my top 5 watch party hosting hacks with you.
Order Online
You need game day essentials like Tyson® Any’tizers® Snacks, Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips and even extra napkins, plates, and cutlery! I find it easiest to make a list of essentials and then order curbside at HEB. This saves me so much time! We are huge curbside fans and use it all the time. Not only does it make it easier when you have kids, but I find that I’m more efficient this way. I don’t forget items or add extra items to my cart. It helps me in two important areas – saving time and saving money! Speaking of savings, you can save now at your local HEB from 1/16/19 – 1/22/19. Find your HEB closest to you and try it for yourself.
Simple Snacks
Another time and stress saver – use delicious, simple snacks! I’m so obsessed with Tyson® Any’Tizers Pepperoni Mozzarella Chicken Snackers right now. If you haven’t tried these, you should RUN to HEB asap. These protein-packed snacks are full of crave-worthy flavor. They are a dream with chicken and pizza united into one. We also like to grab Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips in the Honey BBQ Chicken variety. These have always been a crowd favorite at our house, are made with NAE (No Antibiotics Ever) and All Natural* White Meat Chicken – so they make the list a lot!
To give a little variety, we also added Aidells® Italian Style Chicken Meatballs to our lineup. They are made with the highest quality meats and ingredients which give you unexpected flavor combinations. Then, for the kids (and adults that eat like kids still) – I always grab State Fair® Corn Dogs and Ball Park® Hot Dogs. These are classics that scream watch party! They are made with 100% beef and have quick prep time.
There is no need to go all out on a full “pinterest” table of recipes, simple, delicious snacks will do the trick!
Festive Decor
One of my other favorite game day hacks is using simple, festive decor. It can be easy to go overboard and this is where it can get stressful. Your decor doesn’t have to be elaborate or involve inflated balloons. I like to keep it simple with football themed trays and platters on hand for watch parties. I also have a stash of plates and napkins that I have for parties. By adding a few pieces of festive decor, it elevates your table with little work involved.
Use Your DVR
Don’t be those people. Record the game. Record the show after the game. You never know when you will be watching an epic game that you need to record. A few weeks ago, we were at an amazing game in person and thankfully – we hit record before we left home. The unexpected and excitement of sports is one of my favorite things. On any given day, you have no idea how amazing a game can be or how many Ball Park Hot Dogs you might eat! Make sure you are able to rewind and go back when necessary during the game. Also, this will allow you to wait until most of your guests arrive to start the game. Trust me, just hit record.
Relax
Grab yourself a Tyson Any’tizers Snacker and a State Fair Corn Dog and kick back. Enjoy hanging out with friends and family. Watch parties should be fun and stress free! Don’t get bogged down with tasks or extreme recipes. Keep it simple and have fun.
I hope these simple hacks help you have a great watch party this football season! Don’t forget to head to HEB and grab all of your hosting essentials and save now with their coupon selections!
