Last spring, I wrote a few posts about great activities for your family, but I wanted to share the Best Outdoor Toys for Toddlers right now. When the weather is great, we just love spending time outdoors together and these toys are some of our favorite “go to’s”. First things first, we bought all of these at buybuy BABY. They have such great summer toys and the best products to get you through babyhood. On a side note, we LOVE shopping at buybuy BABY. The store is always clean, well-organized and their staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. They always talk to my babies and help me find the best goods. I love the shopping experience they provide, I can’t say enough good things about this company. Okay, now onto the best outdoor toddler toys:
Water Table
Our water table is hands down one of our favorite outdoor toys. It has kept Brooke entertained for hours and she just loves playing in the water so much. I think her favorite part is getting to splash around without getting in trouble because she is so use to having to keep the water in the bathtub. With the water table, she can be free to play and splash (plus maybe even dump all the water out with a cup)!
Swing
Oh the outdoor swing! We have this at my parents house and the kids love taking turns. And, by “love”, I mean — we make them take turns and they can’t wait until it’s their turn. There is something about a swing that can take the fussiest toddler and make them smile. It is such a lifesaver!
Bubble Machine
There is something magical about bubbles. Kids love them. I recommend lots of outside toys that produce bubbles, especially ones that you don’t have to do yourself. For example, we have bubble guns, a bubble machine and a bubble lawn mower. The bubble lawn mower is a HUGE favorite right now for Brooke and Baby Kevin likes the bubble machine. Brooke even takes her mower on our family walks around the neighborhood.
Slide
These little slides are great inside and out. You can leave them in a playroom, in your garage, on your deck or in the grass. You can even set yours up to dump your toddler into their baby pool. The possibilities are endless and so is the fun.
Chalk
I kept going back and forth about including chalk on my list. Is chalk a toy? I’m not sure. It is really more of an activity, but since it provides us so much entertainment, it made the list. We like drawing, practicing our colors and making up games with our chalk. Baby Kevin is still a little too young for chalk but Brooke loves it.
Baseball Tee
Yes, we are effectively brainwashing our kids to love all things baseball. Kevin and I both love baseball so we might be those parents… but Brooke likes to hit the ball. She has her mamas genes on the catching though (its not pretty lol). But, Baby Kevin LOVES to throw a ball so at least he might have potential.
Powered Car
Brooke got her pink powered car for her 2nd Birthday and it was a BIG HIT! It is such a fun toy to drive around the neighborhood and honestly, I will rate it as the best toddler toy for adults. I love powering her car around the neighborhood!
Ergobaby
Yes yes, I know that this is not a toy. But technically, its like a toy to a parent because it provides lots of enjoyment. You get both hands free!!! Therefore, it makes the list.
