The holidays are very much here and I am so excited! As a mom, one of my favorite things is watching my kids enjoy the holiday season and doing fun activities with them. One of the ways we do this for each holiday is by giving gifts to our teachers, friends and neighbors to get in the holiday spirit with festive Ziploc® brand holiday printed bags. This year, I wanted to share easy turkey cookie gifts for Thanksgiving that you can make at home. We all know the holidays can be extremely busy, so easy and functional is key!
There are so many creative ways to make turkey cookies for Thanksgiving, but I knew that I wanted something simple this year that even the kids could help with and put that extra special touch on them. We decided on this type with store-bought cookies, candy corn, and candy eyes. They are cute, yet simple to assemble and very tasty!
Items You Need:
Ziploc® brand Holiday printed bags or Ziploc® brand Holiday colored Press n Seal containers
(use this coupon for $1 off any 2 Ziploc® brand)
Cream filled cookies
Candy corn
Candy eyes
Squeezable icing pouch
Assembly
Step 1: The first thing you need to do is gather your supplies and clear a clean counterspace.
Step 2: Place candy corn in between cookies to make “feathers” in your turkey.
Step 3: Use a small dot of icing to place eyes on turkey.
Step 4: Put icing on the back of one candy corn and stick to cookie to make the “nose” of the turkey.
Step 5: Place “turkeys” in Ziploc® brand Holiday printed bags or Ziploc® brand Holiday colored Press n Seal containers. Your gift is ready to personalize with Ziploc® brand festive bags/containers as your wrapping paper and a sweet message.
There you go! My kids are so excited to hand these out to our neighbors and their teachers at school. I love how simple this little treat is and how functional it is around the holidays. Not only is the food festive and good but you can reuse the Ziploc® brand products to seal up the season because they stay strong for many uses! That means you can store all the leftovers you desire over the holiday season! Now, it is time for you to get creative! Who would you give your cookies to this season? Maybe you want to take them to your local fire station or police department, or maybe you want to leave some for your mail person? The possibilities to share the kindness and thanksgiving are limitless!
