Skinnygirl popcorn is the new snacking craze for low calorie popcorn. It has better ingredients than most brands, which are geared toward a balanced lifestyle, while still incorporating a butter blend that doesn’t sacrifice taste. I knew instantly I wanted to use Skinny Girl popcorn in a fall gift idea for friends and family so I headed to Walmart to pick up a box or two.
The Skinnygirl popcorn was super easy to find on the “popcorn & juice” aisle. I ended up getting their Lime & Salt and Butter & Sea Salt option, because I just couldn’t resist such good snack options for the week. I also picked up the other necessities I needed for my Fall thank you gift project: fall colored peanut M&Ms, yarn, glass jar, and fabric. I also created my own “thank you” card to attach to the gift in photoshop.
Once I got home, assembling the gift was very simple. I cut the fabric into a small square and frayed the edges. I then cut the yarn and tied it in a bow. While I was working on all of these, I had to pop a bag of the popcorn for myself as a yummy, balanced snack. The fact that they are only 25 calories per cup is amazing and the serving size per mini bag is the perfect size for an afternoon snack.
Once all of my pieces were complete and my thank you note was printed, I started to put everything together. I popped the popcorn, then I mixed the M&M’s and popcorn in the glass mason jar. I was super happy with the way this project turned out!
I think it will be a really great way to show people that I am thankful for them, plus incorporate a favorite snacking option.
