We are in full swing of football season, and as the season gets more intense, the game day parties get better and better. As a girl, I really enjoy watching professional football, but I love the parties even more. I have some really great memories of friends over eating good food, hanging out and watching football. It is really simple to have a great game day party, so simple, that I have made a 5 easy step, game day party checklist.
The first initial step to a great game day party is of course, inviting the people you love. However, for the sake of having an easy number in the title, I am going to assume this is a given and go straight to the next step as the official “first step” in the checklist.
Step 1: Decide Your Menu
This can be as simple or complex/pinterest worthy as you would like. You can choose to make everything yourself, have each person bring their favorite dish, or even order in. If you want to make everything yourself, I would definitely suggest a pinterest search for game day food. They have some amazing recipes with everything from fun dips to elaborate sliders. It makes me hungry just thinking about all the delicious dishes. If you are a cook, you might enjoy making all the food yourself, however, I am a fan of the everyone bringing their favorite dish option the most. I tend to enjoy cooking a little bit, but not a lot, so putting time into one good dish is enjoyable to me, and then tasting everyone else’s favorite that they bring. Another option would be to order in food from a restaurant. This could be a good option if you don’t have a lot of time or don’t want your guests to have to bring anything. Even just ordering a few things of wings or a variety of appetizers is good.
Step 2: Record the game
This is a quick and easy step, but so important. Make sure you are recording the game. This is very helpful if guests end up running late or you miss an important play during the game and need to rewind. Trust me, just hit record. It takes less than a minute.
Step 3: Clean Your Space
You want to have a clean house for your guests, so bust out your cleaning supplies! We have the new Hoover Air™ Cordless Lift Upright Vacuum and it is amazing. It makes cleaning such a breeze and actually fun. Having a cordless vacuum is game changing. No cord means you have freedom to move about your home with ease; no plugging and unplugging, no winding and rewinding and most importantly, no tripping, tugging or tangling. Hoover Air™ is the only cordless line that is powered by an interchangeable LithiumLife battery system that works with all products in the Hoover cordless line. LithiumLife batteries have double the capacity of standard 18-volt lithium Ion batteries, which means longer runtime and fade-free power. The vacuum also has windtunnel 3 technology, which provides performance; suction power to lift and remove dirt. With multiple products in the line of 4 cordless cleaners – 3 vacuums and a hard floor wet cleaner, they provide the versatility needed to tackle a variety of messes with just the right tool for the job, whether it’s the whole house or picking up a quick mess. The Hoover Air™ Cordless Lift Upright Vacuum makes cleaning for your game day party a breeze!
Step 4: Set Up Your Space
Now that your house is clean, set up your party space. Get your food table ready and don’t forget about drinks and paper goods! I like to make sure I pull in extra chairs if needed and set comfy blankets around in case people get cold.
Step 5: Have Fun, enjoy the game and good luck to your team unless they are playing mine!
