I’m sharing #JOHNSONS in my life as part of a JOHNSON’S® sponsored series for Socialstars™
#LittleWonders #ad
As a parent, the one thing you will hear me say over and over is that you can’t contain the immense joy that comes from each day. Its easy to recall your babies first word, or their first birthday or their first steps, but its the small, little moments in each day that I want to capture forever. I want to freeze time and remember how Brooke’s smile lights up the room, how her laugh brings joy to my soul, and how her little kisses make my heart smile. These are truly #littlewonders.
Just in this past week, I can think of 3 #littlewonders that I want to cherish forever.
Brooke learned how to give kisses
I have been waiting for the day Brooke would give me a kiss for the first time. Since she was born, I have always smothered her with kisses (and Kevin has too). I knew she would catch on soon that we love giving her all of our kisses. Then, last week, the three of us were in the grocery store, on the canned goods aisle, and she gave Kevin a kiss. He immediately gushed, “Did you see that? She gave me a kiss. You try!”. He kept pushing the cart to the next aisle and I leaned in and said “Give mommy a kiss” and she gave me a kiss. It was one of the sweetest moments.
Later in the week, I caught her giving her “lamby” a kiss. She got this adorable rocking lamby from my parents for her birthday and she just loves giving it hugs and kisses.
Brooke has really started playing
I mean, Brooke has played with toys for awhile, but now she is really playing. She is exploring how toys work, dragging them around the house, and flipping book pages. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of toys still go straight to her mouth, but she is learning how to use them as well. For instance, she started walking with her walker and pushes it all over the place. She has only learned how to go straight so far, so she runs into walls a lot and gets stuck. It is crazy adorable though.
She has also started playing in the bath tub. She loves bath time so much and gets so excited when I start the water. Since she can pull up now, she pulls up on the side of the tub and bounces up and down in excitement. She also enjoys playing with toys in the bath tub and thinks its funny when I squirt her with water toys. Sidetone: I also never want to forget the incredible baby smell that JOHNSON’S® brings at bath time. I just love when Brooke smells so fresh and clean out of the bath.
Brooke loves her bedtime routine.
I have mentioned before that we have always had a bedtime routine with Brooke and it has worked really well so far. We recently mixed it up a little bit and added in brushing her teeth and reading her book. She loves bath time, lotion, brushing her teeth, reading a book, then us laying her down and giving her a blanket. She has really enjoyed brushing her teeth; She thinks its great. She opens up wide for the brush, but sometimes she bites down and doesn’t want to let us get the toothbrush back. She thinks its funny.
I hope I never forget these #littlewonders that make me want to freeze time. She is such an incredible gift. Check out these other #littlewonders from JOHNSON’S® Television Commercial.
