Welcome to my Kitchen! If you have been following along for the past few months, you have probably seen that Kev and I moved into our 1st home together. I posted various updates as our house was being built, but I haven’t posted any updates since we have moved in.
We pretty much had everything organized after the first weekend, but we are still in the process of putting our home together. We went from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 2 story house, so lets just say, we have a few bare walls and empty rooms! This is probably the most exciting part, because I know that the house will fill up as we continue our lives together. But, for now, we have an empty dining room.
So, this process of a “home tour” will probably be slow. But for now, my kitchen is pretty much complete so I decided to share it with you. I am so in love with our granite color and dark cabinets. I have always been drawn to dark cabinets and they have not disappointed. But, i’m not going to lie, I may or may not, be able to reach the top of the cabinets. Hey, thats why I have a tall husband, right?!
Also, my aunt and uncle got us these adorable kitchen towels for Christmas. She knows me well, I love a good initial/monogram gift. By far, we get the most compliments on our sink. Its crazy I know, but people just love it! Kev takes all the credit for making the decision to put in the granite, deep sink & let me tell you, it was a great decision. It makes doing dishes slightly fun and way easier.
& to add a little personalization. I always keep my ring holder next to the sink for when I am doing dishes. Don’t want that baby to fall down the drain.

Looks gorgeous! We just bought our first home…it was built a few years ago and so I am now in the process of gel staining our cabinets to dark espresso. So far it’s looking AMAZING! 🙂

Our kitchens are very similar…backsplash is similar, tile is similar, dark cabinets, stainless steel; the only difference is our granite…ours is black. wasn’t it fun building?! how long did it take y’all to build?

I love your kitchen! It is beautiful! The sink really is amazing and I am totally jealous. You never really think about things like doing the dishes when you are looking at houses, but I can see why your sink makes them a little easier and fun!
