I love the thrill of the chase.
I love finding the perfect outfit, at the best price.
This past week, I have had my eye on this skirt from Loft. I searched online, found that it was hiding itself at a local Loft in San Antonio, only to call and be discouraged that they did not have the skirt in stock. So, I did what any rational female would do, I went to the store. You know, just to make sure they really didn’t have it in stock. Once I turned the store upside down looking for it hiding, I gave in and asked the salesperson if they could locate one and have it shipped to me.
Yep, crazy I know. I should probably preface that the skirt is ridiculously soft and comfortable. And, I may or may not, have at least 10 different ways to wear it in my head already. Basically, I am really excited about the skirt. However, just because you place an order for it to ship from another store, doesn’t mean it will. After a few phone calls, my skirt still hasn’t been shipped, so I am waiting.
What is the point of this story you ask? Pursuit
I whole heartedly have been pursuing this skirt from Loft. In the midst of this, I had two thoughts:
Do I pursue my husband with such vigor?
Do I pursue God with such diligence?
As I started thinking through these two questions, I realized I have a lot to say. My prayer is that through digging into God’s word, we will see what Godly pursuit is and how we can display that in our marriage. Join me the next 2 Wednesdays, as I discuss what it means/looks like to pursue God and your husband.
