A Day In My Shoes.

fun.

busy.

joyful.

creative.

organized.

exhausting.
 

Since going back to work, my life has been busier than ever. I am currently still getting use to juggling a new baby, my husband, work, and blogging. There never seems to be enough hours in the day or coffee in my cup. Sometimes, I feel like I need to pinch myself. I read a quote awhile back that said “Sometimes I close my eyes and think someone, somewhere must have sprinkled fairy dust on my life. And I am so so grateful”. That is truly how I feel. It’s no secret that we have had a rough year and a half, but a day in my shoes, is everything I have ever dreamed of and more.

fun. I start my day around 6am (that is not the fun part lol). The fun part comes at around 6:45 when Brooke wakes up, because she is a morning person for sure. She is always smiling and making noises at me in the mornings. It is one of my favorite moments of the day.

busy. Brooke and I normally leave the house around 7:30, after we give Daddy “Good Morning Kisses”. I drive her to daycare or “school” as I like to call it, then I go to work. I tend to make time while getting ready or when I first arrive at work to do a few social media shout outs for Simply Clarke.

joyful. I like to start my work day by reading my devotional for the day and then I spend the day doing what I love. I love my job in Children’s Ministry. My day consists of planning events, creating fliers, attending meetings and other random fun things.
 

creative. While I do get to use my creativity a lot at work, my real creative outlet is Simply Clarke. During my lunch break, I tend to work on blog stuff. Posts. Social Media. Answer Emails. You name it. Everyday looks different and I love it. I am constantly looking for inspiration for posts and the #ohsofamous style gallery is a fun place to get inspiration. You can explore what others are wearing, and see the variety that Famous Footwear offers. You can also share your own #ohsofamous moments! I love campaigns like this one that really promote style, inspiration and happy things. Getting to work with partners like Famous Footwear is one of the best parts of my day.

organized. I love organization. I honestly couldn’t make it through my day without being organized. I tend to pick Brooke up about 3:30 and then head back to work for 2 hours (so that I don’t hit traffic – see efficiency).

exhausting. Then we head home, where I cook dinner, pick up the house, shower, give Brooke a bath, spend time with Kevin, blog more.. you name it. Oh, and I go to sleep and start the day all over!
