We all have those days. Those days when you have already finished your coffee and your only a mile away from your house. Those days when your stuck in meetings all day long. Those days when you are dealing with difficult people constantly. Those days that are just plain tough. When you find yourself pulling into your driveway after a very, very long day at work, you are just looking for some time to wind down. Time to relax.
You Time.
While this isn’t always feasible with your demanding schedule, mixed with kids and family time, here are 5 Ways To Wind Down After Work. I have tried each of these and some days, even multiple ones.
Music
Its funny how a great song can completely change my mood. A song can come on the radio that I love and it just puts me in a good mood. I also enjoy listening to worship music when I get home. It helps me really decompress after a long day and puts me in a better mood for the night. I would highly encourage dancing around the kitchen as well. Music is just good for the soul.
Bubble Bath
Bubble baths help loosen up your tight muscles from a long day and Caress body wash indulges your senses with the world’s first body was collection with Fragrance Touch Technology. There is something about lighting a candle and smelling the amazing scent of Caress that is calming. Treat your skin to Caress fragrances everyday. From 5/18/16 – 5/24/16 you can save $1.00 on Caress Body Wash or Bar at any H-E-B. Make sure to stop by your local H-E-B and look for the yellow in-store coupon on Caress Body Wash and Bar products.
Put Your Feet Up
Aka watch Grey’s Anatomy reruns and put everything else in your mind on hold. Take a few minutes to just sit and do nothing. This is one of my personal favorite ways to wind down after a long day. I probably do this everyday, although, I tend to answer emails or browse Instagram instead of clearing my mind.
Take A Walk
I don’t normally take a walk to wind down. It just is not my personality, however, I have friends who love doing this. I have to admit, the other day, Brooke and I went for a walk around the neighborhood when we got home and it was actually very relaxing. I would not normally do this to wind down, but it was what we needed that day for sure.
Craft or Do Something You Enjoy
Some days at work, I feel like I just really don’t get anywhere, so it can be nice to come home and do something that makes me feel accomplished. This could be working in our yard, working on a blog post, or creating a fun craft. Sometimes its nice just to do something you enjoy for fun.
In order, I would say I like to put my feet up, take a bubble bath, listen to music, do something I enjoy and take a walk to wind down. What do you like to do to wind down after a long day?
