I’m sharing #JOHNSONS in my life as part of a JOHNSON’S® sponsored series for Socialstars™
Before having Brooke, I spent a lot of time on Pinterest reading articles about parenting, and planning for her arrival. I learned a lot of valuable information from all of the blog posts and articles I read, but one “life hack” or “baby hack” I read really saved us a lot of time as new parents. The amazing baby hack was to have a diaper caddy for downstairs and use your nursery changing table upstairs. This may sound simple and it was, but I cannot express how much time and energy it saved us. Being able to change Brooke’s diaper downstairs or upstairs, saved us so many trips on the stairs. This is a MUST for parents with a two story house, however, I also have friends that use a diaper caddy for different rooms in their one story house so they don’t have to change rooms as well.
I quickly learned what items were essential for our Diaper Caddy and needed to be included. Here are my top 7 Diaper Caddy Essentials:
Diapers
Diapers are essential everywhere with a little one. We have them upstairs, downstairs, in Brooke’s diaper bag and an extra stash in the car. You only forget to stock all of your diapers once before you never run out again.
Wipes
Again, essential. I mean, in a bind, i’m sure you can get creative and find other things to use, but that is not ideal. So, grab some wipes for your diaper caddy.
Changing Pad
We love these ones from Target. They are super soft and easy to take everywhere. They protect your couch or floor or wherever you are changing your baby and give them something soft to lay on. You can throw them in the washer and reuse them over and over.
Brooke has struggled eczema since she was born, so we are constantly putting lotion on her. I included my Johnson’s® baby lotion on my list of essentials because it is something we have found that we love to have upstairs and downstairs. Sometimes after a bath, I end up dressing Brooke for bed downstairs and I need lotion. Or sometimes, during the day, I see a spot on her arm that needs extra lotion, so its convenient to have on hand. I am loving the Oh Joy! collection of Johnson’s® products at Target right now, read more about them below!
Diaper Rash Cream
When Brooke was first born, she had a diaper rash a lot so we quickly found it to be an essential item in our diaper caddy. Then, as she got older, her diaper rashes aren’t as frequent anymore, but we still keep it on hand just in case.
Nasal Aspirator
I had to look up what this was “officially” called, because we call it a “boogie sucker” (hahaha). This gets a ton of use in our house and is another item we have all over. There is one upstairs, downstairs and in Brooke’s diaper bag. You never know when you will need it and it comes in so handy.
Pacifier
While Brooke doesn’t use a pacifier anymore, I wanted to include it on this list because it something she used a lot when she was first born. We moved away from a pacifier when she was around 6 months old, but it was vital during the early months.
I promised more on the Oh Joy! collection. I absolutely love the fun, stylish touch it brings to our diaper caddy and to Brooke’s room. The Oh Joy! collection is sold exclusively at Target and Target.com. The playful colors, whimsical designs and graphic prints, really add a special touch to the JOHNSON’S® HEAD-TO-TOE® and BEDTIME® products that put a smile on parents and kids faces. Whether it’s during bath time splashes or the bed time snuggles, the new product designs are guaranteed to make daily routines more stylish and fun. This special collaboration is only available for a limited time so grab yours before 7/22/16 (or when sold out)!
We have JOHNSON’S® baby HEAD-TO-TOE® wash, JOHNSON’S® baby lotion, and JOHNSON’S® baby BEDTIME® bath in the Oh Joy! collection. The baby wash is delicate for baby skin and the NO MORE TEARS® formula is gentle for baby eyes. The baby lotion might be my favorite because it gives off that fresh “baby smell” and is hypoallergenic which is a must for Brooke’s sensitive skin. The BEDTIME® lotion and bath is great too, because it is clinically proven to help your baby sleep better and leave them with soft skin all night long.
