Most of you probably saw on Instagram that we went home to our parents house for a few days for a little “home”cation. Unfortunately, three days before we were suppose to leave, all three of us got a horrible stomach bug (thanks to Brooke). We were really hoping that it was a three day bug we had heard about, so we made our way to our parents house feeling horrible still, only to find out that it was a five day stomach bug. We spent the first two days of the trip not feeling the best, but everything is better at your parents house. Once we started feeling better, we had the best time with our parents. We took Brooke to the pool for the first time this year, and both of our parents got Brooke a kiddie pool to splash in. She absolutely loves the water!
We also got to hang out at the lake house and go out on the jet ski. It was pretty fun and relaxing. We really needed a few days away and going home was perfect. We always have a blast with our parents and they love getting to spend extra time with Brooke. Overall, it was a very successful, fun trip despite being sick. Now, we are back to the grind of normal life, but its my birthday week, so bring on the celebration!
