As some of you know, we headed back home to our parents house for a mini-vacation this past weekend. I absolutely love going home. It reminds me of being in college and heading home for summer break, holidays, and other fun events. I have so many awesome memories of riding in the car with Kevin listening to music. On a four hour drive, there isn’t much to do besides listen to music, but we don’t mind at all. We normally listen to old favorites and sing along.
When I saw the new Share A Song Coca-Cola bottles in Target for the first time, I got so excited. It is such an amazing idea, especially for summer. I just always recall lyrics from warm summer days. There is something about lyrics that just bring back fun memories and take you back to those moments. I immediately grabbed a few bottles and told Kevin about them. Right now at Target, you can buy 20oz Coca-Cola bottles with over 70+ song lyric options that represent memories, moods or even a special feeling. You can also get exclusive Music Artist Content and a 25% off offer when you use the Cartwheel App. It is super easy, just follow these steps:
- Tweet @ShareMoreMusic with your 20oz Coca-Cola lyric, followed with the campaign hashtag: #ShareASong.
- @ShareMoreMusic will respond with a link to access a 25% off Cartwheel offer AND exclusive Music Artist Content on Target.com.
Fast forward to this past weekend and us getting ready to leave for our trip. I thought it would be a really cute idea to “Share A Song” and Coca-Cola with Kevin before we left for our road trip. I wanted to share this idea with all of you, because I think it would make really cute co-worker gifts, friend thank yous, or small appreciation gifts. It is a special gift that is simple and inexpensive, but can have a lot of meaning.
Step One: Purchase 20oz Coca-Cola bottles at Target with your favorite lyrics (of course using the 25% offer from the Cartwheel App), cute paper straws and yarn from the dollar bin or party aisle.
Step Two: Print off this free coca-cola printable I created to add a special touch to the gift.
Step Three: Punch a hole in the print and tie the printable and straw to the Coca-Cola bottle.
Step Four: Share A Coke! And share a fun memory. This part is my favorite. Be sure to pick lyrics that really mean a lot to the person you are giving them to as a gift.
I hope your special someone will enjoy their gift as much as my husband did this weekend! You can also join a Coca-Cola for the Share a Coke and a Song Twitter Party where you’ll have an opportunity to unlock more surprises from Coca-Cola and Target. It is on June 9th from 12-1pm EST. Who would you “Share A Song” and “Share A Coke” with?
