9 Verses for Parenting

9-Verses-for-Parenting9 Verses for Parenting

And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. – Deuteronomy 6:6-9

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. – Proverbs 22:6

Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate. – Psalm 127:3-5

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; They are new every morning; Great is your faithfulness. – Lamentations 3:22-23

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. – Psalm 139:13-14

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,not a result of works, so that no one may boast. – Ephesians 2:8-9

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. – Ephesians 6:4

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. – 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb a reward. – Psalm 127:3

Thanks for those great parenting verses. They’re encouraging, and a great reminder of how important children are.
