With love month quickly approaching, I thought it would be super fun to share 12 creative ways to give cards! My mom owned a Hallmark store throughout my childhood, so needless to say, our family is HUGE on giving cards. My husband and I even try to out do each other with “the best” card on each holiday. We have even kicked this up a notch by giving the cards in creative ways. Here are a few creative ideas to spice up your card giving:
Taped To the Bathroom Mirror
Once your hubby goes to sleep, tape his card to the bathroom mirror. Or, if you’re the early riser, tape it first thing in the morning! Its a nice morning surprise.
Next To the Milk Jug
Leave the card next to the milk jug in the fridge. My husband always has milk for breakfast so this is a go to. But, maybe its the coffee maker for you!
In Front of Warm Cookies
This can be nice after work or after dinner. Make fresh, warm cookies and serve them up with his card!
With Your Child’s Craft
You can also do this fun, easy Valentine’s Craft with your child and give it to your hubby with the card. It is super easy to make.
In Their Desk at Work
This one takes a little more sneaking. Plan a time to sneak his card into his desk at work or under his keyboard.
In Their Car
You can also leave his card in the seat of his car/truck so he finds it in the morning.
Leave on the Pillow
I really like leaving his card on his pillow before bedtime. This leaves him guessing all day where his card is, then bam… its right there before bed.
Taped To Their Windshield
You can also tape his card to his windshield in the morning or at lunch time. I prefer the lunch time idea because its a little more unexpected.
With Breakfast In Bed
This is fun if its a weekend. Cook up your spouse’s favorite breakfast and serve it in bed with their card!
Lunch Note
If your hubby takes his lunch, you can slip the card into his lunch box for a nice afternoon surprise.
Snail Mail It!
Ah! I love getting mail in the mailbox. Call me old fashion, thats fine. I love it. I check our mail everyday. It would be a nice little surprise to get your card in the mail!
Scavenger Hunt
You can also make it interactive and have a scavenger hunt for for the card. Leave him little hints all day about where to find clues and end it with him finding his card and gift!
Like I said, I am super bias to Hallmark cards since I grew up with them. I think they have the cutest selection and such a wide range of greeting cards. Walmart is also featuring a collection of Hallmark Signature cards for Valentine’s Day. You can even find an in-aisle coupon for $2 off a 2 card purchase (min $2 purchase required – expires 2/15). Do you and your husband give each other Valentine’s day cards? You can find additional digital coupon offers and Valentine’s inspiration here!
