32 Week Bumpdate
size of the baby: Squash – about 16.6+ inches, and probably over 4.5 pounds! He is measuring nice and big!
total weight gain: about 18 pounds still, I thought I had gained more weight this week, but the scale said otherwise.
gender: Little Man
clothes: Leggings and comfy tees! I actually wore a nice top to the Doctor’s office on Monday, but then got sent to the Hospital, so a hospital gown was in my fashion lineup this.
movement: All the time. He keeps kicking in my ribs and back which isn’t fun.
sleep: I haven’t really been sleeping the best with all the contractions and just general discomfort, but I did get a nice sleeping pill at the hospital that had me out for about 6 hours.
missing: normal life of running errands, chasing Brooke around and not being so pregnant.
craving: cookie dough ice cream. kolaches. thin crust pizza. i’m starving right now… donuts. muffins. coffee. should I keep going?
symptoms/update: Well, last Thursday I started having contractions throughout the day, but they were pretty spaced out and inconsistent. Then, they continued through Friday and Saturday. Saturday night, they started getting more consistent and stronger. They were about 10 minutes apart for over an hour, then they just went away. On Sunday, same thing throughout the day, then Sunday night, they started to get about 8 minutes apart and really strong for over 2 hours. We called our friends to come watch Brooke and when they arrived we were about to leave and all of a sudden the contractions backed down to every 20 minutes and slowed down.
We had a doctors appointment Monday, so we were really glad to get to see our doctor and see what she thought. She ended up sending us to the hospital for observation overnight because of all the contractions and my effacement. She wanted me get sedated to relax my body and get a good night of sleep. Unfortunately, my contractions kept persisting even through all the medicine, so they decided to try another medicine Tuesday morning. Once I got that in my system, the contractions seemed to calm down so I was able to get off of the monitors and relax a little more throughout the day while they monitored me for any side effects or reactions. Thankfully, the contractions aren’t really making my body progress any more in terms of dilation, so thats good news. And, I got to go home around 7pm on Tuesday night. Now, I am on medicine to help relax my body from the contractions and still taking the shots until my doctor says otherwise. We go back Monday, so we will see where we stand then.
kevin is: feeling better that we are home now. He went into full baby mode and got our house completely ready for the little guy on Monday. So thankful for him and all his work, our house literally spotless.
looking forward to: this baby boy continuing to grow and his arrival! These contractions aren’t fun, but i’ll take it if stays in a few more weeks.
best moments: getting to go home!

Thinking of you pretty mama, and praying your little man stays in for a few more weeks. I had almost the exact same thing this past week at 32 weeks with our little girl – also a day and night of observations and medication to relax and calm everything and the contractions slowed down and stopped. Praying for happy babes x
