The fact that we “officially” have a newborn again is blowing my mind! It such a fun and joyous time, also, there is a lot of sleep deprivation, but our toddler has us well prepared. While I know every baby is different, this is our second time with a newborn and we have really found some top newborn baby products that you don’t want to live without! We purchased a lot of our essentials from The Baby Cubby this time around, be sure to check them out and read below about The Baby Cubby Difference!
We love our Aden + Anais swaddles. Brooke still uses hers and they are so soft and cozy. They are big enough to do a traditional swaddle or just cover up your babe. We also LOVE our Ollie Swaddle! It is amazing.. buy it… now!
I can’t express enough how much we used our mamaroo the first time around. I love all of the different settings and being able to control it via bluetooth. This time we bought the BounceRoo as well, I am sure I will be reviewing it soon!
I was just telling Kevin the other day that our stroller is our greatest investment. I can’t tell you how many times we have even pushed Brooke around in it inside the house in the middle of the night to soothe her. We may have even done this last week when she wasn’t feeling good.. invest in a good stroller.
Again, essential. Its against the law not to have one (lol). I would actually pay double for this carset. We used the Nuna with Brooke and it was so easy. If price isn’t really an issue or if you are looking to splurge on something, splurge on this (and your stroller).
Your new baby will need clothes obviously, unless you plan on them being in just a diaper all the time. Sleepers and onesies are really practical for the first few months. We stock up on these and a few outfits for special occasions.
These are great to have around as well. I am a fan of bandana bibs for teething and feeding time; however once you introduce food, I highly recommend bumkins.
I treated myself to this new diaper bag this pregnancy and it is fabulous. You can’t really have enough diaper bags. I am a handbag person, so I love switching out bags. We have a striped diaper bag, a pink Kate Spade one, a grey one and this cream/black one — and I love them all!
You will need a baby bath as well for your baby, thus it is on the essential list. We hated the bath tub we had for Brooke, so we threw it away the first chance we got and are excited to try a new brand with Baby Kevin.
Wubbanubs are your best friend. Buy a few…
Bottles are essential if you plan on using formula obviously, or if you ever plan on going out without your baby in the first year. Or.. you ever need a break from nursing. We love Avent and these Comotomo bottles the best.
This is the one item we don’t have too much experience with yet because it was not available when Brooke was an infant. I will keep you updated! It is extremely popular and I have heard nothing but great things about it.
Covered Goods are perfect for nursing, using as a car seat cover, shopping cart cover and even as a high chair cover at restaurants. We have used ours as a blanket, and in our mamaroo as well! It is so functional and a great item to have around. Oh, and it can be scarf too! The possibilities are endless!
I will be posting a FULL review of our owlet soon, so stay tuned! I will be sure to link the post here once it is live!

What are your thoughts on the Dockatot? We have a baby on the way and I’m debating whether it’s worth it…
Marquis Clarke
Anne SnyderWe love our Boppy Newborn lounger a lot too. It depends on what you are wanting to use it for. I think if you co-sleep it might be worth it, but just as a lounger, I would use the Boppy one.

Marquis ClarkeI used the Boppy lounger with our daughter for napping throughout the day and loved it. But you’re right–as a co-sleeper it might be worth it to go ahead and splurge on the Dockatot. Thanks for the feedback!
