Dear Sister (aka Brooke),
Oh my Lamb-chop, this year went by way too fast. This year, you went from being our Little Lamby to being Sister. You took on a big, new role in our family and we have seen you grow into such a caring and lovable three year old. In the past year, your vocabulary has grown so much. You are sweet, sassy, and kind. You love to laugh, play, and hop around. You are so silly and fun.
Now that you have been a sister for a full year, I can honestly say you were made for this role. You love your little brother so much and he has quickly become your best friend (unless he tries to steal your food). You tell us what he wants and want us to put him in your room to play all the time.
While you are kind and caring, you are also crazy and sassy. You are constantly asking us questions and repeating everything we say. You can form full, long sentences, and express everything you feel. You keep us on our toes. You love to sing songs and shake your booty to music. You love playing outside and have an opinion about your outfits (especially your shoes). You could play on Amazon FreeTime all day long if we let you. You are a ball of energy and sunshine. You are so incredibly fun.
I’ll never forget the laughter that fills our house from your giggles, your love of Target, shopping trips with mommy, bible class and grape slushes from Sonic. You pray with your brother every night, then pray for all your family and friends (and occasionally “jenn jenns ipad” or your “bandaid”). Your heart is so lovable. Playing with your Daddy is one of your favorite things and you love cuddling with mommy in the mornings. You and your brother have also started to play in the car and will give each other kisses back and forth.
We are heading into “threes” and a lot of people have told us that “3” is worse than “2”. For us, two was great! You might be a little emotional at times, but you are so incredibly sweet. I just pray for grace and lots of patience for us this year as we move and transition our lives again. I know it will be trying at times, but I cannot wait! Every day with you is such a gift. You are truly loved and treasured sweet girl. Happy 3rd Birthday!!
I love you SO MUCH,
Mommy
