While Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are for football, there is just something extra fun about Saturday football. I’m not sure if its the relaxed environment of a Saturday or the fun tailgating events, but it just feels a little better. Maybe its closer to our heart, because we still like consider ourselves closer to the college age, but either way – its football and in our house, we love all sports. As a wife, there are a few things I have learned you need for Saturday Football in order to nail it and be a great host at the same time from extra Degree Deodorant to a killer Touchdown dance!
Great Food
The first thing you need in your prep work is great food! Everyone loves to settle in for a good game with great food. You want those belly’s feeling good at kickoff and you want to still have enough food at halftime! Finger foods and dips tend to work the best, but you can always go for a great sub sandwich or pizza combo for a smaller crowd as well.
Stocked Bathroom
Yes, you read that correctly, you need a stocked bathroom! From toilet paper for during the game to Dove Men+Care Bodywash for pre-game – make sure the bathroom is stocked with “man” friendly items from Dove Men, Degree, and AXE. Your husband will thank you later for having the best line up of products. Extra Protection
Speaking of stock up. Be sure to grab Degree Deodorant as one of your four! Your man will be able throw his hands in the air with confidence after his team scores—and trust that his personal care ritual won’t let him down. I also recommend having an “extra” one in your bathroom in case any friends need a little extra protection as well!
Knockout Touchdown Dance
Brainstorm at great touchdown dance beforehand to step up it at home. You can even show your team’s touchdown celebration and tag #PersonalCareWin—to see who has the most team spirit! Make it a competition and vote!
A Back Up Plan
Last, but not least, you need a back up plan if all is going bad. Is your game not going the way you planned? Switch it up and save the day with a fun board game or outside game. Maybe there’s a new movie out you can switch to instead? Think ahead and have a plan in case you need to brighten the mood!
