I love a good life hack. I mean who doesn’t want to find an easier, quicker way to do something?! I remember pinning a lot of articles while I was pregnant with Brooke with different mom hacks and advice. A lot them came in so handy and I learned even more along the way my first year of “mommyhood”. Thankfully, I have had a great circle of friends here online in blog world and in person that have shared great tips with me as well. I have learned everything from making your babies bed with a mattress protector, sheets, mattress protector then top sheets for easy late night accident clean ups to using Walmart Equate Fragrance Free Makeup Remover Towelettes to save time at night! The mom hacks are endless and so appreciated, here are 5 of my favorite quick mom hacks:
The Wet One
We buy wipes that are “water” wipes. They have no chemicals in them, so they are not only great on diaper rashes, but also for practical use everywhere else. I can use them on the kids’ faces, hands, the table, the couch – you name it. This makes life so much easier and quicker. Instead of getting a paper towel wet or a rag and wiping their hands, I can send Brooke over to the wipes and she can grab one herself. Its so great!
The Cutter
This is so simple, I wonder why I didn’t think of it sooner. A mom friend told me, use kitchen scissors to cut food into smaller pieces instead of using a knife. You would be shocked how much time this will save you!
The Pretty One
Use Walmart Equate Fragrance Free Makeup Remover Towelettes to take off your make up at night. They are so convenient and easy to use, plus very budget-friendly! They are fragrance free, made with essentials oils and 99% natural ingredients. They remove all of your make up so easily (even waterproof mascara!). Plus, you can use them in other ways too (remember what I said early, natural ingredients equals multi-purpose!!!) I grab my makeup remover towelettes in the cosmetic section with other facial cleansers at Walmart. I highly recommend these.
The Planner
Pick out everyone’s outfits the night before so you can quickly just thrown on your (and your kids’) outfits. Mornings are already crazy enough and this eliminates a step and streamlines the morning routine.
The Fun Mom
I think one hack that has really helped me the most is having activities set up in every room of the house. For example, when I’m cooking, the kids always want to be right up under me. So I have one cabinet that is full of things they can play with. It has plastic bowls, spoons, etc. It keeps them busy while I cook and everyone is happy. I have a special basket of toys in the living room and a play spot in the bathroom set up as well.
These are just 5 quick Mom Hacks I use a lot (especially the facial towelettes)! There are so many more and I am so thankful for all of the moms that have shared theirs with me along my motherhood journey. What are some of your favorite mom hacks?
