It’s The Little Things… Share Your Summer

While I have been on maternity leave, Brooke and I have visited Kevin at least once a week at work for lunch, so that we can get out of the house, and so that he can see her some during the day. We have come to love these little visits, because we know they won’t be possible when I go back to work. I decided to make this week a little extra special to show my appreciation for him. Kevin has been so awesome every night when he gets home from work. He is a huge help to me and really great at putting Brooke to sleep at night. I just love watching him be a daddy.

I made him a little note that said “Best Dad Ever, Love Mommy and Brooke.” And then, Brooke and I went to Walmart and picked up a Coca Cola 20 oz. personalized name bottle. Walmart has created new bins to make finding a name bottle easier. Because of their wide selection and organized display, I spotted Kevin’s name quickly. If you are wondering if they have a bottle with your name on it, you can check online and even create a virtual custom one!

We also picked up two of his favorite snacks from Walmart, so that he would have a fun afternoon snack along with getting to see us. I honestly love doing “little things” like this to show my appreciation and was so excited to surprise Kevin at work. 

After we had all of our goodies, I put Brooke in her carseat and we headed to surprise Kevin at work. I put everything in or by her carseat, because I knew he would open her door first. 

And sure enough, he went straight to her door to get some kisses. He was so glad to see us and thankful for his surprise goodies as well! I know I am going to treasure these last few weeks off and getting to do fun things like this. What are you looking forward to this summer and who would you want to share a coke with?
