Lets be honest, back to school time can be super stressful. I remember a few years ago the first week of school was so incredibly stressful. Actually, more stressful than finals week! Now, as a “working adult”, I still find back to school time stressful, mainly because of the extra traffic, empty aisles at stores, and busy parking lots. I can only imagine how stressful it will be as Brooke gets older and enters pre-school and elementary. Here are my 3 ways to erase back to school stress:
Caffeine
Number One. Caffeine. Lots of Caffeine. I prefer Starbucks Iced Carmel Macchiatos and occasionally a Diet Coke. The extra boost of energy is needed during back to school time, and, if you are anything like me, it will put you in a way better mood. It is hard to get stressed with a yummy drink in your hand. Plus, it will make all of your errand running a little more fun.
Color Coded To Do List
This is the big one. I love to do lists and colored coded lists help you to be way more efficient. I use Pilot’s FriXion Clicker Erasable Pens when making to do lists, because my lists are constantly growing and changing. By having erasable pens, I can keep my list tidy and accurate.
Plus, Pilot partners with STOMP Out Bullying, the leading national bullying and cyberbullying prevention organization, to help build awareness and fund educational programs designed to reduce and prevent bullying in schools across the country. With your purchase of Pilot’s FriXion Clicker erasable gel ink pens, you can help Pilot support STOMP Out Bullying programs to ‘erase’ negative bullying behaviors and ‘rewrite’ positive, productive solutions. Grab yours at Target from 8/23 – 8/29 for 20% off: FriXion Clicker pen 3pk Assorted and FriXion Clicker pen 3pk Black!
Make Time For Fun
Make time to do something you love that is fun. With all of the stress, it is important to also celebrate the new school year. It should be a fun time not stressful. Go on a shopping trip, have a picnic at the park, go for a hike, or go to a water park. Spend your last few days of summer doing fun things, not running errands. Plus, if you run your errands (school supplies, back to school shopping etc) two weeks before school starts instead of one, it will be way less crowded.

These are great tips for the start of the school year. I wish I liked coffee (or soda) so I could get in a little extra caffeine every so often (I could use the energy)! I love how Pilot is supporting this great anti-bullying program. #client
