Some girls are shoe people, they have a closet full of all types of shoes for every occasion. They have heels in every color, they have sandals for days and boots high and low. But, me, I’m a handbag person. You won’t find a lot different shoes in my closet, and I wont spend a ton of money on them. But, handbags, thats another story. I love them. So, when I was pregnant with Brooke, one of my favorite baby items to shop for was her diaper bag. And, now that our little man is on the way, I treated myself to a new “mom” bag from buybuy BABY. buybuy BABY has such an awesome collection of top diaper bags. Here are a few of my favorites right now after my shopping trip:
Petunia Pickle Bottom® Downtown Tote in Birch/Black
This is my new one; I am obsessed with it! I love the open concept and how sleek it is. I wanted something with a lot of room for both kids where I could just toss what I needed in on the go. Plus, I am using it for my hospital bag, so it is very “dual” purpose. The fabric is very durable and I already tell this bag is going to get a ton of use. I HIGHLY recommend it!
Ju-Ju-Be® B.F.F. Diaper Bag in First Lady
This was my second choice, I went back and forth so many times. I even had this one in my shopping cart too! But, at the end of the day, I know me. Over the years, I have learned that I am really not a “pocket” person. My most loved handbags have always been open and not had a lot of pockets. This diaper bag is known for all of its amazing pockets and spaces to organize things. I love the idea of it, but I went for open at the end of the day.
SKIP*HOP® Highline Convertible Backpack Diaper Bag in Oyster White
This bag is so great for spring. I love the light colors and the functionality. You can carry it as a backpack, over the shoulder, or by the small handles. I was really drawn to this one because of the design.
Skip*Hop® Chelsea Downtown Chic Satchel Diaper Bag in Charcoal Grey
& this gem would be fabulous for winter. It has a more city chic feel and really strikes me as great for a night out to dinner. It has a lot of pockets, yet is still open in the middle.
Petunia Pickle Bottom® Pathway Pack Diaper Bag in Grey
This is a great backpack diaper bag that is a lot like the bag I got, but in grey. The fabric is really durable and this bag is more dad friendly than most.
SKIP*HOP® Duo Special Edition Luxe Diaper Bag in French Stripe
While this diaper bag is not my favorite, it is super popular. A ton of new moms have this bag and I think its because it is very functional and has a lower price point than a lot of other similar bags.
Petunia Pickle Bottom® Boxy Backpack® in Quartz
This is a very structured diaper bag and super classic. I love petunia pickle bottom designs and this one is simple yet still really distinct. I also like that is a backpack or over the shoulder.
Honest Everything Diaper Bag Tote in Slate Grey
I like this faux leather bag a lot. It has great pockets and comes with a really cool changing pad that has a zipper for wipes! This bag also has great pockets while still being open in the middle.
SKIP*HOP® Duet 2-in-1 Diaper Tote in Black
This bag is different from all the others because it comes with a great insert. It can be an open bag for mom and then quickly transform into a pocket filled bag for baby and mom. Super great idea!
Mud Pie® Big Bundle Striped Diaper Tote in Navy
I saw the most adorable Mud Pie bag when Brooke was a baby and didn’t buy it. I totally regretted it. I love the nautical look and the adorable changing pad that coordinates.
You really can’t go wrong with any of these! My best advice when choosing a diaper bag would be to go with a design you love that has durable fabric. Decide if you want a more open concept or one with a lot of pockets and that should really help you narrow it down.
