My Last 5 Days

So, here we are, its Monday again. I was lucky to have the last 5 days off of work. Kevin and I went home for two of those days and had such a great time with our family.  We haven’t been able to go home to see our parents since Christmas which seems insane and incredibly too long, so needless to say, we really enjoyed it. It was just really hard to drive back to our home. We really wish we could have stayed gone longer, but work calls. Also, I was a super bad blogger this weekend and didn’t take any pictures. The pictures above are credit to my awesome husband and his photo skills.

The first day we were in town, we got to go fishing with my dad in his new boat and then eat lunch with my dad and Kevin’s parents at this cafe near the lake. After that, we visited my grandma for a little bit then went back to my parents house to clean up for dinner. When my mom got off work, we headed out to dinner with my parents and Kevin’s parents. We both feel so incredibly blessed that our parents are friends and like each other. It makes it so fun to come home and have big family dinners. After dinner, we moved all of our stuff to Kevin’s parents house to spend that night at their house one night.

The next morning, 4th of July, we woke up and headed out to Kevin’s parents new lake house. We spent the whole day with Kevin’s sisters, their family and friends, and both sets of our parents. It really was a special day just hanging out at the lake, eating good food, kneeboarding on the boat and riding jet skis.
