Week 28 Bumpdate
size of the baby: Eggplant – 13.6-14.8 inches
total weight gain: probably around 16 pounds
gender: Little Miss B. Clarke
maternity clothes: I found one dress last weekend, now I just need to find one more (maybe two)! I am feeling super limited on my wardrobe lately and not liking it. It is also so hard to dress shop for the bump!
movement: She moves a ton. This week I feel a lot more pushing though, so I feel like she is growing a lot or running out of space in there.
sleep: Sleeping has been okay this week besides waking up 3-4 times to go to the bathroom and her waking me up from kicking. Towards the end of last week I was sleeping horrible and waking up for an hour or two in the night, so I am thankful that has gone away for now.
nursery: We have some wall hangings now and I am loving her room! I am excited to see it finished.
craving: double daves still, we need to find time to go. & doughnuts on the real (same as last week)
symptoms: Nothing really this week besides frequent trips to the bathroom
kevin is: normal. I think we are both getting a little scared/nervous about being parents. We got to go to Belton and see my bff, Kristi, her husband and their new baby boy. It was really informative for us and fun to see them, but it just keeps getting more real that she will be here soon.
looking forward to: our 1st baby shower next weekend and seeing our family!
best moments: I mentioned up top that we got to go to Belton and that was really nice. I loved getting to see my friend and her new baby. It made me want to hold our little girl even more! I can’t wait for her to be here. We have a lot still to do, but I am looking forward to the next few months. We went to another childcare place this week and liked it so much better. We think it will be a good option, but are trying to work out a few details before we decide for sure. Also, we have a “parenting” or “new baby” class next week, so I am interested to see how that goes.
