I cannot believe it has been a month since Brooke was born. I just want to freeze time and enjoy every second of her being this little. It probably feels extra fast since she was in NICU for almost a week, so technically she has only been home for a little over three weeks. My mom stayed with us the first week she was in NICU. My mom was a tremendous help getting us through the first few days of little sleep, me healing and the stress of NICU. Then, Kevin’s mom came and stayed the second week with us and helped us get all settled in as a family of three. After that, my mom came back and stayed the third week with us. I loved having our moms here not only to help, but also to enjoy this precious time with us.
However, I have loved these past two weeks with just me, Kevin and Brooke, during the week, even more (& our parents on the weekend.. they just can’t get enough of Brooke). I could spend all day just looking at her and snuggling with her. & I pretty much do. Overall, she is an awesome baby and I couldn’t be more thankful to be her mommy. She already has a little personality and I can’t wait to see it blossom more.
