How To Plan A Date Night With A Newborn

Life as a family of three is amazing. I can’t get over the simple things like the three of us having morning cuddles and watching tv shows together at night. I think Kevin and I both could stare at the adorable faces Brooke makes all night long. However, we are also slowly learning what our relationship looks like with a new baby. My parents were in town two weekends ago, so they watched Brooke while we went to a party with friends. It was nice to get out of the house and hang out with friends, but we missed Brooke too. So, I have been brainstorming a simple “date night in”.
Here a few tips on how to plan a date night with a newborn.
1. Keep it simple.
With a newborn, time is precious thing. You honestly barely have enough time to even shower, so make sure you keep your plans simple and easy. You don’t want to be stressed, remember this is suppose to be fun.
Eating is a must and it makes everything more fun! But again, think simple. No 4 course meal. I suggest TONY’S® Pizzeria Style Pizza from Walmart. They are 30% larger now and have a real authentic pizzeria taste, because they are made with real cheese and the sauce is made with italian-style herbs. With Tony’s Pizza, you can enjoy a pizza made with real ingredients, at a great value, and not stress over multiple dishes. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the authentic taste with your love!
Plus, you can save $.75 off of any TWO (2) Tony’s Pizza (14.14 oz or larger) with the Walmart digital coupon, available until 6/30/15 while supplies last.
3. Do something you enjoy.
Laugh together. Do something you both love. Kevin and I like playing games and watching movies, so I pulled out a new movie, Jack Ryan, and our Sequence board. I love getting a little competitive and then ending the night with a good movie.
Speaking of ending the night with a movie. My biggest tip is to relax and like I mentioned above, laugh. Enjoy this special time in your life as a new family. Don’t think about the laundry or work, just enjoy each other’s company.
