5 Tips on Staying Healthy While Nursing

Nursing is a whole new world. Honestly, the one thing I was super nervous about, besides birth, was nursing. It just sounded painful and time-consuming. However, little did I know it would be the most amazing thing ever. I was very fortunate to have lactation consultants every day while Brooke was in NICU. They really helped give us a great start, and Brooke did really awesome from the beginning. But, there is way more to nursing than just technique. Here are 5 tips I have on staying healthy while nursing:
1. Stay Hydrated

Baby eats what you eat. This is where I struggle the most. If we are being honest, Kevin and I don’t eat very healthy at all, so I have had to make some adjustments to my eating habits. I try to make sure I am getting a good amount of protein, vitamins, fruits and vegetables each day.
