Its officially the week of Christmas! Get excited!! I have diligently worked hard to plan and prep for a peaceful, fun-filled, stress free week. However, I know that is not the reality for the majority of us, nor is it normally the reality for me. Wrap It Up
Take that statement as it is. Its time to wrap it up! Wrap up your Christmas shopping, wrap up your to do list, wrap up your gifts! You name it, wrap it up. I always try to tackle my wrapping a little at a time. I like to wrap all of the gifts first, then go back and add bows. This helps me get in the wrapping mode then switch gears to making bows. Also, I have a “gift list” where I have everyone’s names listed out, what we bought them and then a column to check it them off. This helps if you get anxiety about forgetting to buy someone something or even remember what you bought them (if you are prone to hide presents around your house and forget about them)
Plan Your Meals
If you are hosting Christmas, be sure you have all your meals planned and know who is bring what. It really helps to write everything out and even put names next to who is bringing what. This will help you get organized and make your grocery shopping easier. Oh, and do this… now. The grocery store will just get crazier each day.
Clean Your Car
If you are hosting Christmas or traveling, clean your car! That should be everyone… It feels so much better to travel or shuttle people around in a freshly cleaned car. Yes, I said it. Make time for yourself, even its just a few minutes on the couch in the morning enjoying the Christmas tree. You can get a pedicure, grab a coffee, watch a Christmas movie… pick something helps you unwind and focus on you for a minute. You should enjoy the holiday too!
