Real talk. New mom’s tend to get all the gifts. They get the cute baby clothes, the diaper bag, all the decor stuff, etc – but what about Dads? I love finding gifts to get New Dads that are fun and right up their ally. I mean, they are excited for their new bundle of joy too and deserve some fun stuff for them. I still remember Kevin’s first Father’s Day and how excited he was for a new sound system. You might not think this is a “baby” gift, but him and Brooke have danced together and listed to music so many times! Here is my list for 5 Must Have Father’s Day Gifts for New Dads:
The Monitor
A baby monitor is a great gift for the “tech” new dad and the VTech VM981 Expandable HD Video Baby Monitor with 1 Wi-Fi Camera, 5” Touch Screen is FANTASTIC. My husband LOVES setting up all the baby gear and getting the camera angles just right. There is something about reading the manual that he really likes.
The VM981 was easy to install and the high-definition color touch screen is the best I have seen. While I love the screen, my favorite part is probably the remote access via the new MyVTech Baby app for Apple i0S and Android. It sends you motion alerts so you can see your baby in real time via secure and encrypted video and sound transmission. It also has night vision and supports up to 9 cameras. We got ours on Amazon and it has been so awesome.
The Book
There are tons of parenting books out their you can buy and read, but one that really help you feel equipped as a new parent. I always recommend The Happiest Baby on the Block for new dads. It gives practical advice and steps you can take for your baby. There are five easy things to remember that work wonders and will save you some sleepless nights.
The Food
My husband will tell any new dad that his best advice is to be observant to things you can help with the first few weeks (well and every day after lol). It is so helpful to moms for them to clean bottles and/or clean pump gear. So, get them fun gear! I love the grass bottle drying stands so much. I mean, men love their yards so why not let them have a little yard on the counter for the drying rack. One of Kevin’s friends got this for him and it has been HEAVILY used!
The Stroller
Dads love to be outside and doing something active, so think outside baby gifts. One of our favorites is the stroller. A stroller can be a great dad gift. I know their were several nights Kevin pushed Brooke around the neighborhood at 1am for some peace. They are also just great for family walks and to get outside together.
The Team Gear
Guys love their team so grab them some great gear for their little one. My sister in law and brother in law are expecting in November, so we grabbed him a little book for our nephew of his favorite team. Think books, onesies, sippy cups, bottles, you name it!
My sister in law also said that her husband was pumped to pick out their baby monitor and we pointed them in the direction of the VM981 because we love it so much.
