Hi friends!! I feel like it has been a long time, even though you probably haven’t noticed. We have been going non-stop with our move to Houston and the 4th of July holiday. Thankfully, we are starting to settle in a little bit. This weekend I am on the road again for a fun weekend, but next week we will be in house hunting mode and relaxing hopefully. Plus, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale STARTS!!
I wanted to start by explaining the sale to you, because you will be seeing a lot of posts coming in the next few weeks. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is one of the biggest sales of the year. It is so different from most sales, because it is not clearance merchandise, it is loaded with NEW items for fall and goodies that haven’t even been in stores yet. Just to give you an example, last year, I scored this amazing black cardigan for such a great price then, after the sale ended, the price went up so when I decided I wanted a second one, I had to pay a higher price.
So, moral of the story, if you see something you like, BUY IT ASAP! A lot of great items also sell out quickly, so grab them while you can. They have such a great selection of shoes, denim, handbags, accessories, kid stuff, clothing and more!

Let’s talk details, here are the SALE DATES for this year, 2107:
Early Access (for cardholders starts) July 13-21st, 2017
Public access is from July 21 -August 6th, 2017
So, if you are wanting to shop Early Access, you must have a Nordstrom Card. If you don’t already have one, you can sign up online. If you sign up before July 9th, you will also get a $20 Nordstrom Note to use during the sale! And, don’t worry, you won’t have to wait for your card to come in the mail. Once you apply, you can shop immediately with your membership number. Don’t want a card? No problem. You can join Nordstrom Rewards without applying for a credit card and they will send you a $10 Note to spend at Anniversary Sale and you can shop the sale beginning July 21st.
Don’t live near a store or don’t want to get out? Nordstrom is awesome at online shopping. Shipping and returns are always FREE!! You can order what you want (even in multiple sizes) and return what doesn’t work. They even give you a return label, so all you have to do is put it back in your mailbox for pick up. They make it so simple and convenient. On top of that, you can even order online and pick it up at your store. They will bring your order right out to your car! I did this when I was on bed rest and it was so awesome.

Insider Tip: Nordstrom typically sets aside a little more inventory to go live on public access day, so if your favorite item sells out during early access, be ready early on the 21st for restocks! Also, as a last ditch effort, if you call or go in store, they will search other stores for you for sold out items.
