Five For Friday

Its been a little while since I did a fun 5 for Friday post, so I thought I would bring it back again! If you haven’t heard of it, basically I am just sharing 5 things I am loving this week or something that is going on in our lives.. get it.. 5 things..Its pretty simple and a fun way to give you a little update on our lives.

Simplified Planner

We are half way into August and I can officially say that I am LOVING my Simplified Planner. Last year, I had a weekly and it quickly turned into my favorite planner ever. Now, this year, I bought a daily to switch it up a little bit and it is so great as well. If you haven’t heard of Simplified Planners yet, be sure to check them out. I love how easy they are and the adorable designs. You can grab an academic version of the daily right now and the calendar year planners will be coming out soon!

Jeans

I snagged these black jeans in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and they are worth every penny. They fit so good and I can’t wait for all the fall outfits I can put together with them. I also love these Articles of Society Sarah Skinny Jeans – I didn’t grab these in the sale but I am still thinking about buying them because they look so flattering and have such a great price point.

Boutiques

While I love shopping at Nordstrom and Loft, I also love shopping at small boutiques. A few of my favorites right now are Mint Julep, My Sisters Closet, My Sisters Closet and Magnolia Mey! Magnolia Mey is a local boutique in my hometown that I love being able to shop at locally now that we are back close to home. Be sure to check all of these shops out for unique finds.

House Update

I haven’t really given everyone an update about what is going on in our house hunting search. After about two months of looking, praying and long discussions, we think that we have decided to build a house in an established neighborhood. We liked a few houses that were built on the market, but we really fell in love with this neighborhood and have always wanted to build. We know that it is going to be a long, hard process, but we are super excited! We are still on step 1 of like a million, but we will see how it goes!

Back To School

Kevin survived his first two day of school! We know this is just the beginning but our life is already looking so different. We love having weekends together for the first time in over eleven years and being close to our family is so awesome. We love time with our parents – lake nights, dinner out, babysitters.. its so great.
