Okay, so lets talk about this technology! The safety features of this carseat are easily my FAVORITE aspect. It has a smart chest clip that is syncs with not just your cell phone, but your vehicle as well. The Sirona M with SensorSafe 2.0 sends the alert through both the vehicle receiver and your cellphone. The Sensorsafe 2.0 app not only alerts you if you’ve accidentally left your little one in the car, but it also alerts you if your child unbuckles themselves while the vehicle is in motion, the backseat temperature is too hot or cold, or your child has been sitting too long. The alerts ONLY happen if the small vehicle receiver is installed in the vehicle OBD2 port and that is what connects to the smartphone. If the receiver is not installed, the phone will not get alerts, but most importantly, it is illegal in many states to use your cellphone while you are driving. So, since Cybex is so forward thinking, the app is not needed to receive alerts. Also, Brooke thinks the alerts are so fun when you get out of the car. It has added new excitement to our car rides!
While the technology is the BEST part, it is also super easy to install this convertible seat. We are constantly on the go and switching vehicles so it is important for us that installing a car seat isn’t overly complicated. We love how simple and easy it is. It also has a great cupholder, and simple recline. Not to mention, it has such a sleek, modern design. I just love the Manhattan Grey color.
